Placed my order for a Lariat today and only the fixed boards were selectable.

I placed my order today for the Lariat base (no options) and unfortunately they come with the fixed running boards.

I don't like them - they may look "cool" for a street truck but I have had bad experiences with off road breakovers.

Also, I never liked them dirtying my pant legs getting in/out of a truck that has them....

I may have to remove them and sell it.

I was hopeful for the power boards, but I will say these have lights built in that would prevent me from removing them. I'm not unhappy with these, was just hoping for the power boards that would tuck away.

Yes, the lights is very nice - especially in low light.
My wife who is shorter, would appreciate the step as well as the lighting - but then she is a city gal.

I am country boy who likes to not have the running boards hang up going over a steep peak.

Also, the 20" wheels are not very off road friendly nor gives as much for a softer ride.

I'll see how it does when I get the Lariat...
