For those with small (50" wide) ATVs or SxS- Mad Ramps might be worth a look (not an ad, just my own experience). They connect to the trailer hitch receiver and relieve the weight on your tailgate. Ramps pull out and pivot for stowing. My Honda weighs jsut over 1000 lbs stock, but in normal configuration it's right at payload capacity of my Lightning.
Adding the plow was just a proof of concept, the plow puts it over payload capacity and the rear overhang is a little silly, but I just wanted to see if it can be done.
Definitely can feel the weight back there, but it's a good option if you don't want to deal with a trailer. Recommend backing it in if you have a mid/rear engine toy.
