MagSafe USB-C Charger Not Supported?

I got a new iPhone and picked up a MagSafe charger for my truck. It is a USB-C plug and every once in a while I get a warning on the screen “This USB device is not supported. Please remove.” Still works just fine…
Has anyone else seen this?

Yes, mine pops that up too and I just ignore it.

What is an "Anker" charger. My truck does the same and I assume its because it is meant to hooked up to your phone and not a charger.

although you haven’t provided enough details I’m guessing you are using a port that is used for CarPlay (data) hence the warning.

Anker is a brand of chargers. You can find them on Amazon.

I've had similar issues with past vehicles. It was always resolved with either replacing the cable or cleaning out the lint/dust that got in to the charging port of the phone.

I use the Magsafe charger, but plug in inside the console, no pop up messages.

anker.com (they sell on Amazon too), this could be the issue depending on what brand the current one you have is. Anker is known for NOT over charging your devices, and being very reasonably priced. They are the only chargers I buy.

I had this issue, tried two different chargers and happened with both. I think it's due to the USB looking to receive data, like carplay or music. I plugged one into the center console plug because I just need power and get no messages. I like this location better anyways bc I can put the phone in the slot next to the shifter and hookup the magsafe when needed. Better then reaching down into that small area.

If you’re plugging into the front port in the front console under the radio, it’s for media connection and will give that warning when any charging device is plugged in.
