Mudflaps with flair (using paint pen)

I'm installing my 2nd set of Mudflaps now and I wanted to share the flair I added and, most importantly, a link for a paint pen that is a close match to Picton Blue (which is the blue on the Lightning Logo and Flag). I noticed others using a different Blue of this brand. I took a chance on the Light Blue one and wasn't disappointed, its a closer match.

(I tried my best with lighting. This is pretty close. In reality, it's slightly darker than it shows. It's a pretty close match)

Yes, that is the one I was referring to earlier. The Blue in that pack is too dark. The link I posted is the same brand, just a closer color match.

I don't agree. It was a near perfect match, and others that have used it have said the same thing.

But as long as you're happy with the results, it doesn't matter.

I actually compared both blues side by side with the lettering on the truck, the darker blue is actually closer

Interesting, I used the other Blue on my other Lightning. To me this looks much closer, the other was too dark.

A great example of why people that create products always have unhappy customers.

Does anyone use anything to seal the paint? My mudflap paint wore off after a year on the truck. Some clear acrylic spray or something?

You used one of these paint pens? It is oil based. Not sure how being on the back side of the flap it could wear off.

Yes. I did use one of these paint pens. Rain and sun over a year broke down the paint and it was completely worn off after two winters.

Interesting. Mine is garaged, and is finishing up winter #1.

I took a picture with the Light Blue Paint Pen next to the Lightning Bolt Flag Emblem on the back. I still think this is a closesr match, however, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I was just sharing my opinion, the color and the link with anyone that wanted it.
