Honestly, the above 80% isn't really that bad either. Way better than the Mach-e throttling to ~10kW

Its obvious Ford learned from the Mach E and made improvements. On the InsideEvs podcast about a year ago Darren Palmer said DCFC at speed up to 90% was quite possible and dependent upon battery reliability. Ford is playing conservative here for a while until they are sure there are no battery problems. I wouldn't be surprised to see the charging curve become more refined with an OTA update in the future.

It is not a fair comparison between Lightning and Tesla: two very different vehicles for different purposes except they both happen to be electrical vehicles.

Tesla also has it's own set of reliability and build quality issues. Just watched a youtube video of a new model x owner. She paid 108K for the car. In the first three months had two recalls, a scrambled electronics control system and a A/C failure. At this price point that is inexcusable.
