Hey everyone, new to this board and new EV truck owner. So far loved it all. I got the 2024 Flash trim and it has the large screen, but I can't seem to find the app store anywhere. I have tried to connect my phone with usb with Alexa, but nothing. I activated the free wifi trial and nothing. The only thing that works is the youtube app which is great, but you'd think there would be more somewhere. Is it just my trim level? are there more steps?

There's not much for onboard apps in the Sync system.

Depending on your phone iOS or Android, some phone based apps will display via the Carplay or Android Auto platforms.

Did you get the phone working in wireless mode?

Thank you for clearing that up! I was wondering where they were and turns out they aren't there!

I was able to get wireless carplay to work but I tend not to use it as I like the native software and its ability to get me to the right charger, no lag on skipping on songs (drives me up the wall).

Thanks for the reply!

A Better Route Planning will get you to the right charger. If you have a Tesla Adapter, the truck still will not navigate you there. Ford's navigation is terrible from my experience and usually late picking up new chargers.

Yes the skipping drop out with any blue-tooth connected player drove me crazy.
So I got and use a USB stick or SSD through the USB port in my2023 Lightning Pro - which did not come XM/Sirius radio capable.

You have to format the USB device in exfat or the SYnc system will not be able to read it.

I have put all my favorite music on a $50 500GB SSD which is in a $10 USB case, transferred from my CD collection, ripped onto my PC, and some downloaded music too.

Another solution is an old school FM transmitter and your FM radio tuned to its frequency.

I was really disappointed that I could not play my iPod or Zune through the USB in the Lightning without going through the iTrip FM transmitter - it worked fine, no drop-outs, but a lot of wires.

Both the iPod and Zune have blue-tooth capabilities but the Lightning dropped the blue-tooth signal so many times it drove me crazy!

Some people have had luck using iPhones through the USB port - turn off the blue tooth on the iPhone first I think.

Good luck.
