New Jersey just funded its EV rebate program

New Jersey just funded its EV rebate program. Applies to ORDERs placed after July 25, 2022. Out of state registration prohibited.

This is a rebate program so you get money either taken off the price by the dealer or you seek your rebate after sale. This is on top of the Federal Tax Credit and no sales tax.

In the past the program has run out of money in three to four months.

They can’t keep getting away with this. No taxes on EVs, this, the $7500 tax credit. Anybody not buying an EV in NJ is just setting money on fire.

The 4K is only up to 45K MSRP then 2K to 55K. So unless you are getting a Pro you are pricing out

Not just orders. Purchased counts too. Which means my 7/17 built Pro better get here soon. The program is nearly used up already, only 59% of funding remains.

The program is designed to incentives purchases. Orders made prior to funding do not qualify even if the sale is completed after July 25, 2022.

Paragraph 3, sub paragraph 1 -

• Vehicles ordered in advance of July 25, 2022, the FY23 Program launch, are not eligible for a FY23 program incentive.

This program was just announced yesterday so maybe it is new funding - https://www.nj.gov/governor/news/ne...s announcement, all,rebate for a home charger.
