New owner here, first post. Long time Toyota guy, have always driven LandCruisers. For the past 5 years I've lived out in a rural area, about 30 mile commute each way, and it got REALLY old filling up every 3 days (my cruisers averaged around 12mpg). My vehicle is strictly a local commuter vehicle, no long trips pretty much ever, which makes it perfect for me. So...drove a couple EVs, and bought my 2024 Lightning Flash immediately after the test drive. Was by far the best option IMO.

I've already been in contact with QMerit, but have yet to hear back with an install date. For now I rewired a 50A circuit with the correct faceplate, and am using the Ford mobile charger. Works great. Also gonna do an Emporia 48A charging system at my office, so I should always leave home and work with a full charge.

Purchased mid December, so coming up on a month of ownership. Still excited every time I climb in the cab. The quiet/smooth ride, power, and all the tech make it really fun to drive. Posting the only pic I have taken so far. Will take proper pics before/after new tires.

Only one issue so far, which was the issue described in the below thread. Was driving me nuts, but the 2 second fix worked and all good now.
https://www.f150lightningforum.com/...ne-else-have-door-rubbing-when-driving.22888/

All I've done so far is have the seats recovered in leather and tint the windows, but once I get a good base feel on my range and battery usage, I'm going to do the 2" RC lift and some beefier tires. That being said, I'm considering not doing the puck lift, and wondering, can I get a larger than stock tire without any rubbing? Anyone done a 275/65/20 on stock wheels with any success?

Thanks, and look forward to being here for a while.

Andy

Welcome! I would hold off on the Emporia. If your commute is only 30 miles you may find charging at home is plenty. Unless the electricity is free at your office ;) .

Thx!

Electricity at the office isn't free (I own the company and building), BUT the company pays the electric bill so it will get lost in the shuffle with other expenses. So I'll probably wind up charging there most of the time.

Having owned both the FCSP and the Emporia - you will enjoy the Emporia plugging in a lot more also. The FSCP is bulky and you have to flip the DC cover every time. Love the Emporia.

Got in the truck this morning, plugged in my phone to charge, and neither of the USB outlets next to the wireless charging pad are working. The charging pad works fine and the USB outlet in the console works fine. It’s just those two in the center console.

Dud a search and found nothing…has anyone run into this before?

Have you tried different cables? Cables are generally the weak point when using USB.
