About to be new to market, but this company has a bi-directional system capable of working with F150 lightning.
I don't have a lot of details yet, but new video came out today.

Or you can buy, today, Ford’s Home Integration System, that’s been around for over 2 years.

Video is a little misleading. Don’t you need more than some small charger to get power to the grid?

Yes, you need the $4-5K Ford (Sunrun/Siemens/Delta) Home Integration System, plus installation that will run $5-10K, and a couple hundred hours + of your time trying to get it to work, and keep working. Definitely bleeding edge technology at this point, which is great, if you enjoy it :)

Video is a useless paid promotion with ZERO information. Hey someone wants to do a thing and it's coming soon!

As of now, there are no other systems compatible with the lightning for bidirectional. Perhaps one day there will be. But I expect nothing but a fluster cluck of yet more proprietary equipment that may or may not work.

Or you can buy, today, Ford’s Home Integration System, that’s been around for over 2 years.
You must be new here? It's been around for two years.. and hasn't functioned properly or reliably yet. The system is garbage. Neither manufacturer involved (Ford & Siemens) are doing anything to fix it.

I already have a working Home Integration System. The PointGuard system is vastly superior although I haven’t seen the price yet.

Did you actually watch all the video? They have this working with the Lightning (shown in video) and Mercedes. They also mention but don’t show a Rivian. The system charges and discharges entirely through DC. There is no AC charging with the V2x module.
release date is April for the module. System is available now.

And many people don't yet have it working. I believe some started a class action lawsuit.

Haven't watched, but I did search it. $5k cost for the equipment and have the option to add multiple batteries to the system. Most of the time I charge it's at night, so does that mean this unit has to convert grid AC to DC in order charge?

I'm still waiting to see what Emporia comes out with. Glad to see there's a standard now. Now we just need the automakers to play along.

This unit can charge the truck from AC grid (up to about 11kW), from the home batteries (up to like 8kW) or from excess solar. It can do all 3 at once for up to 25kW since it is a DC charger.
I don’t see a use case really for charging from home battery though unless it is an emergency so effectively this is a 11.4kW charger at night.
