Power folding mirrors and blind spot monitoring

I just picked up my Lightning Lariat 511A yesterday and am still getting used to it.

One of the issues I am seeing is, when I use the power folding mirrors, the blind spot monitoring seems to stay turned off when they unfold, until I manually turn it on myself with the two buttons on the left side of the vehicle.

Does anyone else notice this? It is a huge annoyance. Basically I need to choose which of these two features I want to use.

There's a setting you can reach via the center console to tun on and off blind spot monitoring. Does it need to be turned on there to persist across shutdowns with the auto-folding mirrors? My mirrors fold in when I lock my truck and blind spot monitoring is still enabled when I get in my truck and drive.

I have it turned on there. But it still turns off - or at least *seems to*, because the lights are not lit on the blind spot monitoring buttons.

No I am not, they are set to fold up when parked then unfold when unlocked.

I've never noticed the physical button with lights. I'll have to look for it and see if its illumination matches the status of the feature being enabled or not.

My experience is the same as @Skidrowe, they fold in when locked, unfold when unlocked, and I've never had to toggle blind spot back on. I don't recall changing any settings related to blind spot so I'm not sure what to suggest.

Maybe I am misunderstanding what these buttons are for... there are two buttons with pictures of mirrors on them thay appear to be for blind spot monitoring. I will post a picture later.

Those are the exterior lights on the mirrors themselves

Are these the buttons you're talking about? They turn on the spotlights under the mirrors.

Oh! That would make sense. Took me a bit of playing around to figure those out. Being in a dark garage helped.

Yes that was those! Thanks, I for some reason thought those were blind spot monitoring toggles.
