The math works out. With the mobile charge cord I get between 4.5 & 5 percent per hour plugged in. With my 0530 departure time and 50% to go, it makes sense that it started charging right away. Can I assume that after I receive and install my EVSE this weekend (resulting in about a 60% increase in charge rate), the truck will learn after a while that "Home" now charges at the faster rate and will adjust the forced early start time need?
It will still be pessimistic in the calculations & projected requirements to reach SOC goal vs. getting battery & cabin prepared.

If that happens try minimizing the remote start prepare time to the minimum of 5 minutes (assuming you have set a longer 10 or 15 minute time) then test the departure schedule behavior again.

If that tweak doesn't work, then eliminate the departure time and use remote start to prepare the cabin, hopefully that keeps the charging within your TOU limits.
