Just for follow up. Took it to the dealer. Service guy said "last time we saw this we had to keep the car several days." Anyhow, it turned out to be a loose connector in the wiring harness that was not snapped all the way in. Perhaps it happened when they spray in bed liner was done.

This loose wire / connector has happened in the past, tied to spray in liner treatment process.
