Got it. I just did the search as you suggested and also noticed this comment at the bottom of the page.

"Ford Co-Pilot Assist 2.0 includes rain-sensing wipers and forward sensing system when ordered on 500A or 501A"

Still odd that you are required to pay for the Active 2.0 package on a 502A to get the front sensors.

Agree it is silly. I really wanted FSS, so in part, it kept me away from the high packages as the price would have escalated quickly with having to add Active to it.

I think you can get the front sensors with the "parking assist" (whatever it is called) without getting "active 2.0". Still cost extra money though.

I don't have them on my 502a Lariat recently received. I thought it was included.

I know i have adaptive cruise, and our collision assist, both work. But I don't think it has alerted me any about to close for you front bumper.

Bought a Lariat 502A Assist (not Active) thinking it had everything I wanted only to find out the first time I pulled it into the garage no front sensors. Major buyers remorse after spending 68k. I can hit the camera button each time I drive into the garage, but the convenience of the sensor turning on the camera is just so nice. Every time I pull into the garage I get reminded of my poor decision. I ended up going back to the stone ages and put some 4x4s down where the tires should stop... first world problems.

Would certainly be looking for aftermarket options to add them affordably but am skeptical of drilling holes in the chrome bumper.

Working with my dealer’s parts department, we have been able to determine the correct wiring harness, front sensors, and sensor retaining clips to add the front proximity sensors to my 21 KR. I still need to figure out how to update the truck to recognize the sensors.

The parts are as follows: (Parts cost $373.78)

Mine do. When they start going off, the 360 camera kicks on and shows which area in the front is warning.

good thing I didn’t give that Prius a love tap with my front bumper in the parking lot today.. I need to remember to back up instead since the tow ball is more like a harpoon

A very informative write up of what so many of us wish we had ordered in the build stage but did not want or require Blue Cruise.
Very usefull including the part numbers. Just need to find a dealer that will ship to th UK.
Do you know why some have the 6 sensors on the front. Am I right in believing they are in adition to the sensor boxes required on each side for park assist.

Would like to revive this thread a bit with some more clarity:


Ok so figured out a synopsis with a couple of visits to the dealer.

2021 502a did NOT have any front sensors unless you get blue cruise active prep. Even 360 cam didn’t add

2022 502a gets 4 front sensors with just the 502a package (maybe you must add 360cam?)

2022 502a with blue cruise prep gets 6 sensors, 2 of which are on the outer corners of the bumper.

what I have not seen, is a 502a with no 360 cam, so I cannot speak if those trucks get the 4 front sensors.

I just ordered a ‘22 with 360 and was under the impression I may not be getting front sensors. Did ford add them for all 502a lariats? I’m thinking so
