Look at the connected service section on the Fordpass app, should show something along these lines, I suspect my expiration date will change to 8/3/2026 on 8/4/2025.

Looks like the extra year subscription will start after my regular subscription ends in April next year.

I was told by my dealer that there is no fees for Blue Cruise when I picked up my vehicle two years ago.

On pickup he even had me take a screenshot showing the year 2073 for expiration of Blue Cruise.

What's concerning is I now see this date has changed. Somebody has some 'splaining to do.

Will also add that none of the Ford marketing material at the time disclosed that which in Canada is a violation of advertising laws.

you haven’t figured out by now (being part of this group) dealers really only care about the sale and aren’t armed with all the facts, or properly conveying them.

i was a day 1 order and was well aware from launch day that we (at that time) got 3 years free and a price to be determined later would apply. It was my recollection that ford had a floated $299/year.

subscriptions have become a way of life for consumers and a predictable income stream for companies.

I ordered fairly early and always save all marketing material, brochures, etc. There was no mention anywhere of a subscription fee.

In fact, this Verge article dated in August 2023 seems to indicate a change in how they handle this:

This is well after I picked up my Truck. Where I live, you can't just slap on a subscription fee for a feature unless its clearly disclosed at the time of sale. There are clear laws and regulations that require proviso's on any limitations that may affect an advertising claim. For example: "Hands Free driving (1)" Requires annual subscription after 36 month period, or something to that effect.

Also, just something you do as being a sound ethical moral act. I kept screenshots, and web dumps of everything I did at the time of order to deal with discrepancies. My order had a total of 14 such pages of legal ease. 180 total items included with the order confirmation. The only proviso on BlueCruise at the time was #126: "Don't drive while distracted. See owner's manual for details on system limitations.".

For example, #156 clearly states that Vehicle streaming was included with a 30 day trail, and there would be a fee after that. So when I lost my streaming after 30 days there was no surprise there, because unlike many people I do read the legal ease.

This on the other hand will need to be dealt with by Ford, or by an Ontario court. Either way, my truck will have BlueCruise for its life.

I haven't gotten an email and it doesn't show in the app. 2023 lariat that expires 5/21/2026. I will check periodically but I'm not holding my breath.
