If your range estimate is stuck in trailer mode it has nothing to do with being in the "Tow/Haul" driving mode. The problem is you still have an "active trailer" selected. To recalculate You have to go into the Towing app from the home screen, and then go to select active trailer, and choose "no active trailer".
Yup works! This should be at the top of the thread permanently 👍🏽

Vehicle on, plug in trailer, select trailer on sync screen, vehicle off, unplug trailer, vehicle on, select no active trailer on sync screen.
Unplugging the trailer while the vehicle is on causes the problem.
I grabbed a u haul trailer last weekend to go pick up a Harvey table saw from marketplace and the range calculation is stuck in towing. I did unplug while the truck was on, so I’ll go check the active trailer setting after breakfast.

It's well past lunch, what did you find?
Were you able to fix the issue by selecting no trailer?

Help, I am stuck in this hell as well. I can't change delete the default trailer in the center screen, and don't see any other way to shut this off?

You can’t select “No Trailer?”

No. To be clear, between the dash screen and center screen I can only select the U-Haul trailer I defined, or add a new one. Using combinations of the steering wheel buttons, Pro Trailer knob/buttons and the console screen, I have not found a way to select "No Trailer", although the default trailer showing up on the dash screen is not the U-Haul, and shows as not found in the additional dash screens. The mode is "Normal" and nothing is attached to the hitch. My range is still ~ half, and I am warned about the reduction when I turn on the truck.

I must be missing a step somewhere...

Post 3 steps wouldn't work for you?

Hail Mary fix.

Press the button for your trailer back up assist.

A message should pop up that it is detecting trailer, although one will not be connected.

Push the button to turn off the back up assist

Then go into your menu and select no active trailer.
