BS. A Heat pump uses much less energy than a resistance heater. Sure it'll lose efficiency as it gets colder. At that point a resistance heater should kick in but under most circumstances it should absolutely make a difference.
Generally yes, but I think what that data is showing is that you just end up using the resistance heater anyways.

Not in the dead of winter. Consumer Reports just tested vs other vehicles. Below 30 it is not helpful.

Heat Pumps are getting better at lower temps. These enhancements may not have made it to EVs yet.

Definitely seeing it as expected. My 39 mile trip to work this morning got 1.8 miles/kWh vs. 2.0 a month ago. The range estimate now sits around 200 at 80% vs. 230 a month ago. When I left today it was about 38 deg, and I left from a garage that was probably in the 50s.

Winter will make me appreciate the 80 amp charger more than I do today.
