My experience with light loads is it's negligible except on the highway, where you already take big hits to your range. It would be worth it for you to check out the charger locations around where you live and on your route, as a just in case, and alsojust to know in general. . . Personal opinion is get the ER if you drive highways regularly.
/congrats on the purchase! I hope you enjoy it as much as I have (ER Xlt)

I have SR Lariat. Recently towed an 700 lb trailer empty about400 miles at I5 speeds. Went from average 2 mi/kwh to about 1.8. Loaded for return trip with 1200 lb load. ’Mileage’ dropped to average of about 1.6 mi/kwh. Note, starting elevation 4,200 ft, down to sea level - returned to 4,200 feet.

Anyone who can afford an ER should get an ER, unless it’s a work truck for in the city, SR won’t leave anyone happy. SR really is only a work truck IMO

very helpful! Similar to toting the golf cart. 1.6 with an ER means I’ll need to plug her in once I get to my river spot. But a trickle for a day or two gets me home without having to hit a station on the way.

thank you.
