Hey all

My local Ford dealers here on Vancouver Island are not making the purchase process very easy, so I am thinking to buy elsewhere. Anyone have any good recommendations for Ford dealerships in BC where you have had a good experience?

Thanks

Dearborn Ford in Kamloops was very helpful, a misstep by them added to my enthusiasm sent me to Chilliwack Ford where Matt was ready to swoop.

Island Ford Duncan no good?
Yea I talked to them, and found them to be a little slippery to deal with to be honest. I was talking to one sales guy who would ALWAYS respond to my emails with a completely new email, so tracking down what we were talking about, and making sure my questions were answered, was always tough. They also seem to pre-load all their trucks with a $2599 "Island Package" which I didn't like, with things like a plastic bedliner, the window trim things so you can smoke and not get water inside, plastic splash guards, plastic tray mats, etc. When you added it all up, it was like $1700 or so online on the main Ford configurator, and there's just no way it costs $900 to install all that.

On top of that, their website always seemed to be inaccurate for what was available, and the amounts of rebates or pricing never seemed to reflect what they would then actually send me quote sheets on, etc. Eventually, after getting tired of the runaround of looking through like 30 separate emails from their sales guy looking for answers to my 3 questions (which were all contained in a single email), I started looking around.

I did contact the Cam Clark Ford in North Van, and their sales guy Mehran was super responsive and tried his best to find me what I wanted.

But ultimately, we placed an order with Ocean Park Ford in Whiterock with Chris....he was able to find me an inbound F150 with all the things I wanted on it. His pricing was straightforward, the accessories he added in were very reasonably priced and install was included basically in the list price, so I am quite happy with that.

I have to wait probably another week or two to get the vehicle, but it is what we wanted....an Oxford White Flash trim, with the 9.6kw and max tow and with spray in bedliner. He added the molded plastic splash guards, rubber tray mats, and power cords at their list price on the Ford.ca configurator, and said he'd get them installed for that price.

So countdown to new truck day is on! Will post some pics once I get it.
