A 6.8 Million dollar interest free loan. Not bad.

I've learned my lesson. I won't be an early adoptor again. I'll wait until the initial wave wears out and pick one up at a discount.
I'm sure less than 10% convert. $100 reserve is just too low for people's FOMO.

One interesting thing to note is Rivian is giving the priority of the first R2 deliveries to previous R1 owners. I really hope this is something Ford does whenever T3 or whatever the next thing is comes up for preorder. Be a little bit of appreciation for us early adopters.

. It's a soft design that doesn't appeal to everyone but it is incredibly aerodynamic and efficient and now defines their character.
I don't know about aero design. I think this is the future:

Went to see the R2 in person today. It's not bad. If it was out today at pricing they say it will be I could see myself buying one but we'll see what happens in 2 years time.

Does Rivian still force you into using 1PD? I may be a minority, but until they do blended braking like Ford, I won't consider them.
You mean to gain the benefits of regenerative braking? I only drive with 1pd on anyway now.

No, when I test drove an R1T before ordering my F150L it was set up for 1PD, I asked the guide how to switch to normal 2 pedal mode, and it's not an option, all you can do is make the regen more or less aggressive, and even the lesser regen was too much for my comfort. I know a lot of people don't care, or like you, prefer 1PD, but it's a deal breaker for me. I prefer it to drive like an ICE with an automatic transmission.
