Not necessarily. I left for 10 days, plugged in, with my max charge set to 80% on my FCSP, which was established as my home charger. I received an OTA update while away, and the truck deleted all of my charge settings. It therefore charged to 100%, in triple digit heat, and kept it there for for 8 days because nobody was there to drain the battery. If I leave it again for more than a day or two, I’m turning off OTA updates.Nope. It’s gonna charge up per your programming and sit. No drama at all, really.
I knew someone was gonna say this. I as much as anyone know what happens with OTA BS. You're obviously not familiar with my raging pissed rant thread from two weeks ago.Not necessarily. I saw your post while out of town. Decided to check my truck through the app, and sure enough, it was sitting at 100%. I knew immediately what happened. Leave it to @FordMotorCompany to send out OTA updates that can actually damage the vehicle. If it weren't for your post, trev5150, I would have spent a bit of time trying to figure out what went wrong, so thanks for pointing it out!I knew someone was gonna say this. Dear @FordMotorCompany
The use of the words "actually damage the vehicle" are unfounded. You could charge the truck every day, with DC fast charging, to 100%, and the truck would still be covered under warranty for 8 years / 100,000 miles to be 70% capacity or higher.I saw your post while out of town.
