Anyone have their dealer swap the tires for something different before taking delivery and if so did the dealer offer a credit for the stock tires?

I would not have to dealer swap tires. You should be able to get a better price at a tire store and sell the OEM tires, they will bring some good money.

My dealer will give me $150/tire towards new ones. Already have spoken to them and I will most likely have a set of Falken Wildpeak AT3W's to replace the stock Goodyear Wranglers.

I'm in Michigan too, I will ask my dealer if they will do that, I kinda doubt it... but I'll ask!

It is more work, but I'd rather buy tires at discount tire and get the lifetime rotation, balance, and roadside and then sell the OEM tires on craigslist. Add in buying out of state and putting 1000 miles on the OEM tires, long term, I'd rather have support for the replaced tires for the 3-4 years of use. ymmv.

Very good point and I’d like to do that but then my wife would know I spent money on tires that I didn’t need.

My wife asked why I need new tires right away. My answer was, I put on about 7,000 miles on my truck per year and It would take me 8.5 years to reach 60,000 miles and maybe new tires before that. I spend a fair amount of time on the lake in the winter driving my truck around in some fairly deep snow and I want the right tires for the job right from the start and not some worthless all-terrain (mainly highway tire) to do so. My dealer is also a Quick Lane service center and they have the best tire prices around. I am about 250 miles from the closest Discount Tire, so that is not an option. My dealer will give me the $150/tire credit towards whatever I want. They will use the tires that come on my truck and put them on a trade-in that needs new tires before they put it on the lot to sell. Win win for both of us!

Mine wouldn’t give me a credit for them but gave good deal on new ones. I had them swap them before delivery and sold the stock ones online for 150 a tire within a few days

If my truck is every built/shipped, I’ll be asking my dealer what my options are as well.

I've looked for reviews on the Goodyear Owl AT that come stock on the FX4 18" wheels and can't find anything to inform me if it's a good tire or just something that Ford throws on there because they can get it cheap and in bulk.

Well, when I look at the Quick Lane website, they list retail on these Goodyear Wrangler Territory AT's at $169/tire, it leads me to think they are not all that great of tire?
