Sync 4 Navigation Traffic

Has anyone been able to get traffic using the Sync 4 map?
I have traffic enabled in the Navigation settings but nothing appears on the map showing traffic.

No, I too have it enabled and have not seen any traffic data. The system says the connected navigation is active.

Well, that's a problem right there. My current Sync 3 systems in all cars have the traffic in them and work fine. I rely heavily on this feature on my daily commute.

Has anyone actually seen it work on sync 4 so far??

Not operational yet from what I've read. You'll just have to rely on Google maps for now if traffic is a gotta have.

I have actually seen traffic on the map as of a week ago. It show red during a traffic accident in town. I have not seen any green or yellow indications.

Maybe it's working? I'm in the metro Detroit area and haven't seen anything yet in this area Hall Rd / M59 has traffic tie ups regularly. No red/green/yellow yet anyway. My Ram would show red at traffic lights all the time during rush hour.

I see the traffic information when navigation is active and you are following a route. I have seen orange, red, and a message once that the road was closed ahead. This was due to an accident on the interstate that had happened after I got on so was accurate.

I have not seen traffic info when not navigating a route. I do on my sync3 system in my other car, but not on sync4. I don't know if this is intentional or a missed item that will get fixed in an update.

Mine is working, I can essentially see grid locks all around (I live in the bay area) I think the issue is that it only shows up HEAVY traffic or its slowly updated.

Earlier I posted that I only saw traffic info if navigating a route. I need to correct that statement. I went up to Phoenix this morning, and I did see traffic information and I was not actively using navigation. I also saw traffic information symbols I have not seen before (accident, school zone, etc). I have had the truck for a week, so maybe it takes some time for the connected navigation to become fully functional.

Ive only seen heavy red traffic once, and in a small area, not like before where the whole freeway would show. Hope they fix it.

Now that I have my truck, I can also confirm that traffic does show up on Sync4, but not nearly as much as it did on my old Sync3. I know Ford has a different source for traffic for their Sync4 this year (Tomtom?), as opposed to coming from SiriusXM infotainment services, so maybe this explains the difference, coverage, etc.

Hopefully, with time, the new system will improve and show more/better traffic data.

I was caught in a traffic tie up on Hall Rd /M-59 yesterday. Nothing showed up on the navigation. I'm certain it would have shown red on my Ram Uconnect nav.

Same here.. Serious accident on Rt 33 in Hocking County, OH. Two people were Life Flighted out. No information on Sync4. Waze did show the incident

Waze, Google, Apple Maps, even my old Sync3 all have quite decent and up to date trafic information. Sync4 though, so far, is a disappointment. Not sure what's going on here.

As time goes on, and more Sync4 systems are driving around, Ford's new cloud-based system will get better and have more data sources. For now, I feel I'm a bit of guinea pig who paid a lot for an incomplete system.
