I was on a chip hold for a couple days. Seems like everybody in my build week got put on very short holds. That is great news. Please share your first impression on yours after you have some time with it.
And any advice on taking delivery. I have never purchased a new car and never one from a dealer. Did you get extended warranty? test drive it? found anything wrong? .....
It looks like your trim and options are similar to mine, and it seems like you did not spend anytime on chip hold. They must have run out after you.
Congrats
First impressions: The pro may be the base model but it feels more optioned than a base model to me. Im coming from a 2015 Ram base model and the Pro is downright luxurious in comparison. The vinyl seats are actually pretty nice. This is not the vinyl seats from the late 90s that I'm used to at all. They've been mistaken for leather by others already. The safety stuff like lane keeping, auto braking, cameras and sensors are better than I expected for a base model. The 12" screen is also much bigger and nicer than I could appreciate from pictures. I think I actually like it better than the 15.5" because the physical buttons for cameras, climate, heated seats, etc are more user-friendly to me (and I work in tech).
It's been extremely nice to drive. The quietness and smoothness of the drivetrain is just awesome. The fact that it's stupid fast for a truck will be fun but I've been very careful to not punch it because I've had my young kids with me. I don't want them to be scared to ride in it.
It sits higher than my Ram did, so need to get those running boards ASAP. My wife is short and kids struggle to get in on their own. Fits nicely in the garage though. The factory antenna didn't hit the door as I've heard others say, so I might keep it and not get a stubby.
I did a couple short home charging sessions yesterday and it never took more than 4.7kw for some reason. I have a 48 amp charger so I expected a lot more.
As for delivery, getting the right price on the Pro was a PITA like it has been for most, but got it sorted out in a few hours. First Ford rep was giving wrong info or it would've been much smoother. I just went with Ford financing and will refinance later. I have perfect credit but only got a 5.9% rate and I only financed less than half.
I would recommend you test drive the truck and make sure everything works and no weird noises or anything before you sign papers. I didn't find anything wrong. I also opted out of buying the warranty. You can buy it anytime before the 3 yr warranty expires and you can buy it from any dealer. Granger sells them for $50 over cost and they are on this forum and help people out so I'd much rather buy it from them.
