The ~Public~ statements I've read from Ford executives, they are confident that $3750 is available for retail personal use at a minimum.

I think they are rightfully playing it conservatively until the DOE evaluation of their power pack has been completed and published, though it's not an issue for tax filing purposes until spring of 2024, but in the meantime thousands of customers are making pragmatic decisions daily as to whether or not they will order/buy the truck with the credit value in mind.

So my question is will this still apply to those of us who are buying an ER battery and have a price tag over 80k? Reason I ask is while my truck supposedly shipped last week I keep getting my anticipated deliver of 1/10-1/16.

NO, once your MSRP exceeds the 80K limit, no credits for you, this is why many are anxious to take delivery by 12/31/2022

I figured. Hope my Lariat ER is a Christmas miracle, but not getting my hopes up too high.

MY LIGHTNING MADE IT TO MY DEALER!!
Got a voicemail from my saleswoman and an email around 1450 EST today, 12/19 after a 10/22 build date.
Up until then, neither I (using the tools on this site) nor my dealer had any clue that it was in transit.
The tracker went straight from 'Built' to "Final Prep". I believe it was shipped via OTR carrier, so no train in the middle.

I hope this little nugget gives some people on this thread some hope. I think I'm one of the last MY22s delivered.

I am one of the lucky ones -- my Lariat completed its build on 11/21, is now on the lot at my dealer, and I'm due to pick it up on 12/21. Any advice on what I need to do at the dealer in order to secure the 2022 tax credit? I understand I need to obtain a "Letter of Certification" from the dealership. Is that all I need? Will my dealer even know what that is? (I don't think they've sold a lot of Lightnings.)

Also, anything I need to be particularly watchful for in terms of production flaws, etc. before I take delivery?

You don’t need to do anything for the tax credit. The tax form requires the VIN and date of possession. That’s it, unless you get audited.

I too am hoping for a straight from "Built" to "Final Prep" miracle.
Built on 12/09/2022 and all this time my estimated delivery window was showing 12/11/2022 - 12/17/2022... so I was hoping maybe to take delivery today....

Checking on website today, estimated delivery now moved to 1/1/2023 to 1/7/2023 ouch :(

order status is Awaiting Shipment at Ramp 51, Flat Rock, MI as of status update Dec-09-2022 ...
Just can't understand why a delivery location an 8 hour drive away can't be done in under 21 days.

Received my “built” email this morning. Chances of getting it this year remains near zero.

Slid in under the wire and took delivery today!
That is great news. Please share your first impression on yours after you have some time with it.

And any advice on taking delivery. I have never purchased a new car and never one from a dealer. Did you get extended warranty? test drive it? found anything wrong? .....

It looks like your trim and options are similar to mine, and it seems like you did not spend anytime on chip hold. They must have run out after you.

Congrats

I buy a new F150 every year or two from the same dealer. You want to test drive it and get some time alone. I also don’t buy the warranty but I don’t keep the car long enough to get any value out of. It could be a good value if you wanna keep it.

I tell my dealer not to touch it when it comes off the truck. I pick it up and detail it myself and take pictures. I have bad luck with that dealers lot folks cleaning the vehicle
