is the lightning's modem icon-the up&down arrows supposed to be there at all times?
mine seems to show up randomly....

Mine toggles on and off regularly….and my connectivity with it unfortunately. Cannot seem to figure out the problem even after dealer visit.

In computer parlance, when you see the arrows it means communication is occurring, when you don't, then communication isn't occurring. This more for human input than what's going on behind the scenes. What you are seeing is normal.
