Or replace them with higher-tech higher-capacity ones?

That was the pipe-dream when Nissan first started selling the Leaf, anyway.
Might be a nice aftermarket opportunity to whomever can figure it out. If a company came out and said they could double/triple the charge density for 10-20k in 8-10yrs, I'd be really tempted to make the swap.

My plan remains the same as prior to when I bought it: drive it until something better comes out that is affordable. Looking for 500 mile range at around $50k or less. Preferably that can haul drywall, 2x4's, flooring, furniture, etc . At that time, it will replace my husband's 2016 F150 work truck since we won't need to hang on to the ICE for sports two hours away in rural Indiana/vacation anymore.

Side note - I thought the replacement would be the electric VW bus. Man did they screw that one up!!! It's nothing like what they first showed. The exterior went from cool to a mini van. The customizable back seat area went from innovative to a mini van bench seat. And the specs also went to... a mini van!!! What is it 0-60 in 4.4 minutes??

I’m curious what your thoughts are for when you plan to trade or sell the truck?

Drive it till the wheels fall off?

Trade at 100k miles, when the warranty is done?

Trade in at 90k miles?

I’m just learning about the front end of buying/living with an EV, but I don’t know what folks are doing on the back end.

Is there “best time” to move onto another?

I’d rather not be buying a new vehicle every few years.
Hold onto it for at least 5 years, then maybe, trade up to the latest technology. I'll be about 75 at that time, so my next one could be my last.. I'll decide very carefully.

My baby (2023 Pro) is going to take us as far as we would like or need to go! We are planning to buy some “replacement wheels” when these ones fall off and run her some more. I have only had her since January and already at mile marker 20,422. Stay safe out there kids.

Ford has got me for the term of my loan (Or until the Ramcharger comes out). I'm paying additional on it so I can ease the blow from it being valued so low. I didn't get the amazing deals that others have been.

I lease between 2 years and 3 years I like getting new vehicles and not haven’t to do anything to them

Historically, I ’ve kept ICE vehicles 8 to 14 years, usually 120,000 to 180,000 miles. Always in very good condition as well. I’m 80 now, so my ‘22 Lariat is probably my last truck as long as it stays reliable. If not, might do a smaller EV. Also have 2023 PHEV, so maybe not.

I currently have 50k miles on my 2023 Lightning. I plan on driving it until the wheels fall off. I still love it other than the value depreciation. The performance, maintenance costs, additional features (intelligent backup, pro power onboard, etc.) and flexibility of uses.

To under.. probably until battery warranty is expired...and not mention to I like the truck.

On the fence, but I only paid around $40,000 after tax credits and I was one of the few that was able to buy a PRO. So far so good. I'm thinking of the 8year/100,00 warranty is where I might bail. Heck there might be better deals at that time. but for now I feel that I bought right and I'm using it like a truck. I had a model S before and I feel it is better suited to what I do by far.
I had a 2022 S and was about to face having to pay $3500 for extended warranty. Definitely think the truck form factor was better but the range loss is real.

Given that the car has lost 15k in value the first year I owned it, I'm probably driving it till the wheels fall off
