haven't carried a ring of keys since I have been driving a car with a fob I don't have to take out of my pocket. I can see no reason to carry that key around.
I don’t want to carry it around, but I would like to put it on a key chain of some sort that causes it to not get lost. Heck, I might even like to add it to my junk drawer key ring that contains seemingly 4,000 to 5,000 keys to idontknowwhatthefuck

PS: do you not have a house key? Or is your truck fob your house key?

I park in an attached garage. We also have a deadbolt on the front and back doors that have an electronic keypad. And if all else fails, we have a detached garage in the back yard that I leave unlocked with a key hidden in it.

Heck, the last physical key that I used to start a car was my 2016 Focus. And I only carried the key by itself. The last key ring with multiple keys I remember carrying was for my 2004 Explorer. We got rid of that in 2011.

I leave my key like that for my 2021 Lariat in my upper glovebox. It's in a little pouch the insurance company gave us to put our registration and proof of insurance in.

I’ve got my truck fob on a key ring, with a single “regular” key attached, for the house.

regardless of the other key, though, I want at least my fob on a key ring of some sort that helps me hang it, see it, etc.

people who carry a naked FOB alone should be put on a watch list

So, where is the Boxlink key. I have the cat key but haven't seen another key.
I haven’t opened my box link packaging, still in the sub-frunk. I assumed there’d be a key in there.

The key also locks the rear seats down to secure the under seat storage. Fob key does that as well.

And here I’ve been using two toddler car seats to make my back seat storage inaccessible …

Never mind, answered my own question. I found it in the plastic bag with the tailgate removal kit….of course…where else would you put an unidentified key? Never would have known about it without the OP🤗

This is what I love about this forum…it’s used by people smarter than me and I learn something new every day from all of you!

Why is it shaped like that? I guess we can petition Ford to have different shaped pet heads. I'm a Lab guy myself, but I would take a German Sheppard with it's ears perked over the "cat".
Go labs.

i have it sitting as decoration on my stovetop
