Here is the thing, if you road trip a lot and can't afford the extra time, it will be 20 to 40 min ever stop if you run your battery down, then I'd pass in EV.
I road tripped to Tuscaloosa from Huntsville and back yesterday and while this should be a no charge options with ER, it is not. I stopped at the Mercedes Welcome center and had a 10 min top off to 80%, ran around Tuscaloosa till 3PM, stopped again at same location for 6 min charge. Both these charges were for less 10% battery add. I got home with a trip 2.0m/kWh efficiency and 65 miles left
When down to 220 miles, my stops are 40 min. The other irritating thing is EA is just about the most horrible experience ever. Unless you love Walmart parking lots, it sucks waiting for Bolts to finish.
The link above is Tesla locations, Magic Dock a d open to adaptors is better, but not really any more locations that are lacking in the SE as far as I can tell. Now, the Magic Dock I used north of Montgomery a couple of weeks ago, was great because it was at a shopping center with everything from Target to Pharmacy to numerous food options. If you can make your stops work like this with a stop for food it is soo much better. Again I strongly recommend you research your road trip drives first.
