I’m seeing lots of posts about folks running power and ground direct to 12v battery, but no mention of how they got it there. Do you have to remove the frunk liner? What are the options for access points? I’m looking under dash and there isn’t any clear path on either side.

I’ve punched through the firewall on a lot of ICE vehicles but this seems quite a bit different.

There are rubber grommets in the firewall that can be used to get out of the cabin in behind the frunk wall where the battery is located.

One user showed a YouTube video where he came out-on the driver side and was able to remove the fender cover and reach the wires.

Thanks! Are you able to link to the video? I’ve scoured YouTube and can only find ICE content… my search skills are failing me :)

I think this is it. I haven’t watched it again, but believe this is it.

Thanks guys, since I was already underneath (power steps) I went with following the frame rails up into the frunk. There are a lot of open spaces in the area to choose from and it’s far easier than punching through a firewall grommet.

Based on other posts, you should connect the negative to chassis and not directly to the battery post. Connecting directly to the battery will mess up the current sensor readings.

Sorry if you’re already aware.
