Would you buy a 2022 Lariat ER with high miles? 40,000 to 50,000 miles?

I’ve been looking for a 22 lariat ER. I’m starting to see some with higher miles, and clean title at what appears to be a pretty good deal. Any thoughts?

Thanks

Depends on the price, but high mileage wouldn't worry too much. You do have that much less on the power train warranty though.

I wouldn't worry about the miles at all, but I would take it to a dealer and have them run a diagnostic on the battery's overall health. You'll probably have to pay for that. If it's still 95% or better, you're fine. If they're dipping into the 80s already, they've beat the battery to hell and you should probably find another.

That may be better than a 23 that has been sitting at a dealer lot at 100% SOC.

Battery is always a crap shoot with regards to failure but my impression is that most of module replacement has happened before 40K. So your pack may be more dependable for the next 40K than mine. But even if it fails you should be covered for another 6 years.

Also you may get a scale on 22 that was deleted from my 23.

Almost 50,000 on mine. I would purchase my truck from myself in a heartbeat.

If you are concerned about warranty, you can get a Ford Protect Premiumcare up until 40k miles I believe. I know they had a grace period beyond 36k for the "new" car warranty. If the miles are over the limit you can look into the "used" version of the warranty. Ask Granger Ford, they advertise here.
