Can you imagine what a $14k EV (before any incentives but built in Mexico so qualified under current rules) could do to the landscape in the North American EV market?

They will be cheaper than current offerings, but I doubt you see anything close to that price. They still have to produce them to meet US safety standards. Not to mention, Americans are spoiled and will want standards features that will bump up the price.

I'm really hoping there are still barebones cars available, or better yet, no car at all. What I really want are conversion kits for classic cars and old Jeeps. Really I just want to convert a TJ to an EV, but I'm sure classic car owners would want to do conversions too. I've seen some really cool things done with Tesla wrecks. I don't think I have the fabrication skill, but I would happily drop $12-15k for a kit that has everything I need to I just do it in my driveway. I'm sure there within a few months of cheapo BYDs being introduced there will be youtubers and kit makers swarming to meet this demand, unless I'm the only one.

Also I'm still waiting for a cruiser style EV or a Goldwing conversion kit, anyone know of any?

Munro Live reviewed an electric bike on his channel several months back. You search there.

The Zero? It still looks like a sport or dual sport at best. I want something that looks more like a classic Harley. I may have thrown you off when I said goldwing, because I ride a Valkyrie which is a goldwing engine in a more classic cruiser look.
