F-150 LIGHTNING GOES GLOBAL AGAIN; ELECTRIC TRUCK NOW HEADED TO SWITZERLAND

Ford F-150 Lightning F-150 Lightning Launching in Switzerland Next Month with 127,000 CHF Pricing 01_Ford F-150 Lightning Lariat_Exterior_Low Res.JPG

The Ford F-150 Lightning, an electric extension of America’s best-selling F-Series pickup truck line, is coming to Switzerland in limited numbers this year. It’s the second European market for the truck following the April announcement that F-150 Lightning is coming to Norway.

With its planned launch set for the end of November, F-150 Lightning will prove the electric truck is at home not only in cities, but also in the middle of nature and on the challenging roads of the Alps. The Ford F-150 Lightning can be ordered from November and costs 127,000 Swiss francs.

Theres a lightly used raptor listed online for about 140k chf.

Shit is ultra expensive in Switzerland and it harbours many very wealthy people.

It's interesting they went there for sales.

I'm guessing they will only ever sell in left hand drive countries. Haven't seen one, but I'm sure the standard F150 is built in a RHD, but I can't imagine they would ever go that far for the Lightning.

F150 is built left hand drive only. All right hand drive sales have to be custom converted.

That is interesting and news I had never researched. With as many are built I figured there surely had to be one.

There are components of the options in Forscan that refer to Right Hand Drive trucks. So they must include the programming options for those they do convert.

Also just found this - https://www.racv.com.au/royalauto/transport/cars/ford-to-launch-f-150-in-australia-in-2023.html

I don't know if that ever came to be and if they were factory of sorts or all custom conversions of sorts.

I think that it's a smart move for Ford as there's a lot of "grey" imports of unusual US vehicles into Switzerland. Stuff like the big minivans and other US-style vehicles that just aren't made by the European manufacturers there. Could be a challenge to park but our apartment in Basel had a '57 pink Cadillac convertible in it (not mine) so they will find a way if they really want it. The "retro" look will also appeal.
