I was looking to purchase bike stand to get the bikes upright for short journeys to trails after looking and checking prices decided to DIY. Used the bed cleats I got with the truck, square aluminum tubing, couple of holes drilled on each end. Bolts with wing nuts and piping insulation over top. Strap bikes to tube and ready to rock and roll. Total cost $35. Thinking about custom making. LMK if you are interested

That looks awesome, Mark! We love seeing all the ways the Ford Family makes their F-150 Lightning unique!

I need to figure out a way to get the Bike(s) up into the truck, especially by one person. We have two electric bikes and they are heavy. No way can I lift them up that high into the back of the truck.

Aluminum bi-fold loading ramps? I have a pair and they're 15-pounds each.

If ramps don't work well you might want to check out a "Pickup Truck Bed Crane" (Harbor Freight?)

I've been using moving blankets that I just kind of throw over the back of the tailgate and use that as a stand. I do like your setup though, nice job.

I mounted wheel holders to a 2x4 that was fastened to a piece of 3/8 inch OSB that was wide enough to not slide between the wheel wells of the bed. The advantage of these expensive holders is that they work with every size bike axle bolt and so I use them with our mountain bikes and electric road bikes.

The board with the two mounts takes very little room to store in my garage when not needed.

I’m thinking about a DIY loading dock at my house. ;-)
