First post in this forum but long time Ford owner. Just traded my 2018 F250 Lariat for a 2021 F150 Lariat.
Im usually on top of vehicle features before I buy, but i didn’t dig deep enough on this gen F150. Sure- the main points I knew going in, but in my usual methods, I’ve started to research leveling kits and the truck has 110 miles.
This truck is a Lariat 502A 4x4 Sport with the 20” wheels. 5.0 3.73’s.
I’m measuring about 3” of rake from center of fender wells to ground.
Original thought was 2” front only and not touch the rear. But after talking to Autospring (I’ve used their kits before), they claimed the 2.5” is their most popular. In fact, their local dealer uses their 2.5” kits on new trucks.
So… I’m on the 2.5 research and am leaning on their spacer/ block combo as I want some rake. Biggest tire size would be 286/65’s but likely 295/60’s on factory wheels. Before I decided to order, I crawled under the rear and saw a ride height sensor on the drivers side leaf.
uggh.
We also have a 2019 Expedition with the ccd suspension and it’s getting a readylift 3/2 in the spring. That kit has brackets for the sensors.
But, in my case, what would happen if I change the block? What’s that sensor do? Just headlight aim?
Thanks in advance and apologies if I’m asking a redundant question.
