Lariat+ also has rear heated seats. And Platinum has lower estimated mileage due to the larger wheel size.

...and weight too, no?And Platinum has lower estimated mileage due to the larger wheel size.
Not sure about that. I haven't seen weight by trim but the 2, both with the ER battery, shouldn't be that much different. Platinum seats will be heavier but that's about the only significant difference that I can think of....and weight too, no?
I think you forgot the Platinum gets that Platinum badge on it.I realize some of you will buy Platinum just for the premium options. But when I configure a Lariat + Extended Battery w/Tow Tech ($79,169) and then a Platinum ($92,569), I don't see much value for the additional $13,400? Rear Heated Seats, Sound Upgrade, Wheel Upgrade, Premium Interior, Active Motion Front Seats, Max Tow -- Am I missing something? All these options are a few hundred dollars each, where's the other $7k-$9k in added value?
The badge weighs 300 pounds, it's pure platinum!I think you forgot the Platinum gets that Platinum badge on it.
As per the playbook, the Est. GVWR is 8,550 for the Platinum with a curb of 7,050.Not sure about that. I'm wondering the same thing. Sure, more range is better. But at what cost? That's what I'm struggling with now. 70 miles more range for $10K ? I'm really starting to wonder. It may even cost you $20K depending what model you're looking at. Now I'm starting to consider the XLT with the standard battery. I wasn't before, but I'm considering it now.Talk me out of getting the SR with tow package…. Is the extra 70 miles worth the money if I am going to be towing a small camper around
I'm sure you've made some very good valid points. But for many of us, I would compare this to people with 14 gal gas tanks and 40 gal gas tanks. I'm sure they've both reached that 1/8 tank left. Some of us will run it close, no matter how many mile we have. Sorta like the person who's always late, and the other who's always early. The guy who's always late will be late to work, even if he lives next door to his job! That analogy is sorta iffy, but it's all I got right now! lolI'm not gonna try to say you one way or the other, however, ford is making these options a pretty significant financial decision for most folks to have to think over. For beyond 70k, ya gotta factor in range cushion you may need for situations you may encounter on a daily basis so those 40-70 miles will most likely help you get where you need to go. I had a tesla model 3 and it got 210 miles of range. My daily commute is 100 miles, not include running errands if I needed to. Colder weather affects the battery and reduced my battery to 170-ish miles so I would need to stop somewhere abd actually get a quick charge just to make it back home. That's the way it was. If I just had 50 more miles of range, I could've made it home every day and charged cheaper in my garage. Trust me. You will learn alot and have alot of fun when we finally get these trucks. But it's range that will help lots of folks to plan fir their trips abd daily comutes/situations. Unfortunately, it's gonna cost us up front, but I'm telling myself, " no regrets" as ove gotta have the range as the most important thing in my truck...it's a must have for me...ya just never know when you'll need that extra cushion. But when you do, you've got it!
this is the struggle! I don’t want to pay 74k for cloth seats and I don’t want to spend 80k for these ER batteries. But towing with 230 is trash. I am really just thinking about ordering a mache. My goal was 75k for a lariat with extended battery. 5k mattersI wondering the same thing. Sure, more range is better. But at what cost? I hear ya - I wonder how good ford motor's financing incentives will be to maybe make up some of that loss. When I financed my last car w/ them I got a 1.9 rate for 72.. compared to a 3% credit union rate over 6 years that will almost save you 1000 bux a year .. but that's just speculation and doesn't take into account any downpayment, etc. Bottom line, early adapting is hard for sure.this is the struggle! it’s the bang for the buck. Hell I think the r1t and R1s looks like the better deal, at 80k with 20 down 84 months at 3% is ~$800 a month. I can do a lot with 800 a month. I am 10 of 65 at my dealer I have time to think about it but the build options they are giving us are slim. I would take a XLT but the standard options are weak and the extended doesn’t justify a 20k jump. I wonder if I could sell my reservation slot heheI hear ya - I wonder how good ford motor's financing incentives will be to maybe make up some of that loss. I don’t think you can sell the slot but you can certainly flip the truck. I ordered a pro to hold me over until my Rivian I just ordered is available. I like this thinking! R1s? When you ordered it the rivian did they give you a date?I don’t think you can sell the slot but you can certainly flip the truck. I ordered a pro to hold me over until my Rivian I just ordered is available. Then we’ll see what’s up.
R1T since I want a truck. No date given as it’s so far out. I’m assuming 18 months. Only reason I ordered the lightning too.I like this thinking! R1s? When you ordered it the rivian did they give you a date?
