I'm pretty sure you can change dealers until you actually order. Where you end up in the other dealers line isn't really clear, but I don't think it necessarily would put you last.

if I am in the first wave, build and place order on the 6th wouldn't I be inline with a timestamp?

I know the dealers have X amount of priority's, So does the dealer I'm with now so it shouldn't be a big difference other than how many priority's that dealers has.

Some dealers ignored the priority rankings and stuck with time stamp. Some did not. And if you were first wave and change now you might get bumped to second wave. They already should have the info on who is first wave in their groups. Maybe you’d get bumped to second.

My dealer is selling for MSRP, but Ford is charging me 20k upcharge for the XLT+ with ER .... ROFL!!!
Ford really doesn't want to sell the big battery versions unless customers pay at least $80k.

I can mostly understand that. I bet the ER battery assembly costs Ford something like $30k to $35k

Comparing my 2 builds an XLT + vs a Lariat base XLT is 64,769 vs 69,769.

Major differences are the lariat has:

Leather and ventilated front seats with black int vs dark slate and cloth for XLT
Sliding Rear window
Wireless charging pad
B & O Sound system

Other then those differences I think they are the same and I dont think they are worth 5k!

A few other differences:

Sync 4 vs. Sync 4a (bigger screen)
Tail gate signature lightning (light bar)
Body color mirror caps and handles (if you care about that)
Better (B&O) audio system

All said - Ventilated seats are very nice in the summer if you have never had them. I love them in my GT350!

The Tail gate signature lightning (light bar) comes with the XLT + at leaast it says it does in the build.

The Sync and mirror caps I missed thanks.

Also the XLT has no B & O just the regular stereo.

Talk me out of getting the SR with tow package…. Is the extra 70 miles worth the money if I am going to be towing a small camper around

For me, more range is a good thing. Think of it like a Apple iPhone... you can't add space since it lacks a SD card slot. The same with the batteries in EVs.

I second that. Especially in the winter months. You will be glad you did when you experience range loss, because everything affects the battery in your new truck.

I'm not gonna try to say you one way or the other, however, ford is making these options a pretty significant financial decision for most folks to have to think over. For beyond 70k, ya gotta factor in range cushion you may need for situations you may encounter on a daily basis so those 40-70 miles will most likely help you get where you need to go. I had a tesla model 3 and it got 210 miles of range. My daily commute is 100 miles, not include running errands if I needed to. Colder weather affects the battery and reduced my battery to 170-ish miles so I would need to stop somewhere abd actually get a quick charge just to make it back home. That's the way it was. If I just had 50 more miles of range, I could've made it home every day and charged cheaper in my garage. Trust me. You will learn alot and have alot of fun when we finally get these trucks. But it's range that will help lots of folks to plan fir their trips abd daily comutes/situations. Unfortunately, it's gonna cost us up front, but I'm telling myself, " no regrets" as ove gotta have the range as the most important thing in my truck...it's a must have for me...ya just never know when you'll need that extra cushion. But when you do, you've got it!
