Thanks man. I just found that order guide and that’s how I was interpreting it, but then I started second guessing, haha.
I don't think you're getting 360 camera. I also ordered a 502A, and mine is listed in addition, which was forced by co pilot active option (not the standard assist).

Hoping someone in this thread can tell me whether or not my MY22 (that was converted from a 21) will have the 360 camera option? Kinda confusing with the way they shifted things around. I know I had chosen it as an option when I placed the order. Not a big deal either way, just curious.

GM removed heated seats and steering wheels. To increase profits?
GM removed all steering wheels? ?. Seriously, why haven’t we started driving cars with game controllers by now?

To your point, I absolutely acknowledge there are some supply constraints - chips especially. I don’t buy LED lights and BoxLink fall in that category. Nor is it to necessarily to ‘increase’ profits. Inflationary impacts can be addressed by a company two ways: raise prices or reduce what you offer at a specific price. Ford is doing both.

I understand the need: costs have gone up = prices have to go up. Add in that these companies lost a lot of revenue last year. Again, my issue is in HOW they are responding to the cost of higher materials. Lariat customers shouldn’t be forced to spend $995 for a power tailgate just to get some freaking Bed Lighting - it ain’t BlueCruise or some super high-end premium luxury option; it’s light bulbs in the ‘trunk’.

I would prefer to see the cameras listed as well, true. That said, per the Order Guide, are the 360 degree cameras not a prerequisite for BOTH CoPilot 360 Assist 2.0 (43B) and CoPilot 360 Active (43C)?

The question is whether the 502A included Co-Pilot 360 Assist 2.0 is the same as the 500A/501A optionally-added Co-Pilot 360 Assist 2.0 (aka 43B). Because 43B requires the cameras.

Looking at the Order Guide, there is one difference: 43B includes the “Forward Sensing System” whereas the 502A included Co-Pilot Assist 2.0 does not. No idea why.

I.e., does Co-Pilot Assist 2.0 . . .
(A) need the cameras to perform its functions, or
(B) is Ford simply forcing 500A/501A customers to buy the 360 camera package in order to be able to buy Co-Pilot Assist (kinda like being forced to buy a power tailgate to get Bed Lighting ?).

Good luck getting your dealership to run this to ground. Why does Ford make this so darn hard?

FYI, I’m at the dealer now for my 21 to 22 swap. I found something they made standard which was previously an option. Ie something they gave us for free! The underseat storage is now standard on Lariat and above.

unfortunately that was actually an option that I didn’t want!
Is this different from the fold flat lockable storage? It shows as an additional charge on my '22 Lariat SuperCrew 502A order and not a standard feature.

502A comes standard with CoPilot 360 Assist (option to upgrade to Active). CoPilot 360 requires either the 360 cameras (763) or the Tow Tech package (17T) . . . which includes (763) for free.

In other words, you can’t have CoPilot 360 Assist without the 360 camera package (763). Surprised it isn’t specifically listed, but maybe that’’s because you filled up the entire sheet of paper already. That’s gonna be a sweet truck.

Hopefully another forum member can share their 502A order sheet as well to remove any ambiguity / uncertainty.
My '22 Lariat SuperCrew 502A order has the trailer tow package (not tow tech pkg) and copilot 360 assist (no charge). The 360 deg camera is an extra cost option.

To be clear, you added the 360° camera package to your 502A order and were charged for it, correct? If so, that sucks for UnderTheRadar; means he doesn’t have the 360 cameras in his expensive 502A.

Bottom line: 502A package does not specifically state that it includes the 360° Cameras. If it did, Ford would probably make an effort to advertise it (it’s a selling point to get you to upgrade to 502A). So I retract my previous assertion.

That said, I think my counter reasoning is sound and could easily confuse a salesman or customer (like me).
• 502A includes CoPilot 360 Assist.
• 500A/501A customers have to get the 360 Cameras in order to install CoPilot 360 Assist.
• Therefore, an F-150 with CoPilot 360 Assist must also have 360 Cameras, right?
➜ False assumption on my part, I guess. Ford is then just making 500A/501A customers unnecessarily buy the cameras if they also want to have CoPilot Assist 2.0. I mean, I would’ve bought the cameras anyway. Still.

I go back to a point I made earlier: There has to be a clearer way for Ford to communicate better with their customers - this is unnecessarily confusing. Maybe in the package summary, 502A should state that the Cameras are not included with CoPilot Assist 2.0 (just like the Tow Mirror clarification is stated in the Trailer Tow package and Max Trailer Tow package). Heck, we still don’t know what’s in 53A that isn’t in 17T (Lariat PBs) that provides the additional 4K-lbs of towing capacity.

same thing as the old one. It may be adjusted on the window sticker.

Agreed. It should be the same as the old one. When I put in the order for my Platinum I asked the dealer about it because I wanted it and could no longer find the option. He looked it up and found that it is now included on several trim levels instead of being a stand alone option.

Yes because they did not lower prices or keep prices the same coupled with the removal of the features and added pricing.

You have lost me, they did not lower pricing and removed these features thus it is profit driven coupled with the supply chain issues.
