If I were you, will consider a PB any trim that you can afford.

I picked up new limited 21 for around 71k.

PB has similar or more power then old gen raptor

Yes, but they don't have nearly the same panache or hold their resale value nearly as well. I could buy a powerboost for $60k now and only get $40k when I trade it in 18 months.

A Powerboost is a nice while-you-wait ride.
I do have a lightening reservation and also have Mach-E on hand to drive. I don’t know if I am ready to trade my PB limited to a lightening. I get full flexibility to roam any part of the country not to worry about charging as you can find gas in most of the places. Cost saving is next to nothing in my area as electricity costs me $.21 per KW

I have my 2016 XLT for now, the powerboost is a little nicer, but still uses gas and isn't nearly as special as a Raptor.

All vehicle will hold about the same value compare to others in next 2-3 yrs, you may have some exceptions.

I will not give 60k for a 5 yr old truck that may have been abused.

Did you consider Tremor?

Did you calculated your electricity cost to charge a EV?

Yea, I'm in a Platinum Powerboost while I wait on a KingRanch Powerboost. If/when my Lightning number comes up, I doubt I will part with my Powerboost. It's a 10 in my book.

A tremor is not a bad idea, I will have to take a look.

I was looking at Raptors because they are well known to buck the trend on depreciation. Gen 1 trucks effectively don't depreciate and the Gen 2s hold value very well as well - much better than any other truck (except maybe the TRX, but not a lot of value on those)

How do you know what the resale value is for the Lightning?
F150 resale is currently some of the highest in the industry. The reason I'm in a Powerboost is because I was given $5000 less than I paid for a 2018 KingRanch F150 that I drove for 3 years and 7 months.

As for Panache..... You have any idea how long the line is for those waiting for their Powerboost? ?

Yes, I pay $0.162 per kWhr. I ran the math and the Lightning will save me almost $200 per month vs. gas in my XLT.

Sorry for the confusion, I didn't mean resale on the Lightning, I meant resale on whatever I get when I trade it for my Lightning.

The Poweboost is a darn fine truck. I wasn’t in wave 2 either, and I’m not that disappointed because the PB has spoiled me.
