I finally got it all working today .. this was my actual tea reaction to first time testing it
Awesome work man! You beat me to it haha. I got my hands on a CCM a while back and just waiting for my new bumper to show up to swap everything in one clean go. Are you going to do a write up on what changes need made/enabled? I think I found them all playing around but a second opinion always helps as well.

I really didn’t take pics or anything.. I would be more than happy to send you what changes I made.. I hand wrote everything down and it worked first shot. I was shocked minus a few things in the IPC I missed.

You’ll be happy to know that Forscan fixed it for me so you’ll be able to program the ccm. You won’t have that hurdle to overcome.

Can I ask why you need a new bumper?

I added the ccm and the front two side obstacle modules which are the same part number as the two rear bliss modules in the taillight.

Deer... ? lol

Ya if you could that would be awesome! I even have most stuff turned on already besides the main option in the BCM along with the ABS option for it I found not too long ago.

I imagine you just had to copy your VIN into the CCM then calibrate and that was about it? Also did you install the higher trim left switch in the steering wheel for changing the ACC distance? I'm not going to if I don't have to as the farthest setting is just fine for me which seems to be the default.

I have no intention to add anything more like you have planned so that's why I'm not worry about any other sensors. I guess I didn't realize there were actual bliss sensors in the front as well, though it was just the 6 parking sensors and that was it so good to know.

Also, it might have been easy to you on the IPMA side if you swapped one if from a different truck that was already configured for everything? i.e. lane centering mainly. Or maybe you got a new one through parts and had to set up all the asbuilt data afterwards? Seems there are a number of options in the IPMA that need to be enabled for lane centering if I was reading everything right. I got lucky again and picked up an advanced IPMA as well so I have that to swap in if I can't get it working with by base level IPMA.

I’m guessing you thought you needed the bumper and sensors? The sensors are only for the parking distance and there are two versions. One with 4 and 4 and one with 6 and 6. The 6 sensors have the two on the side front and rear for the automated parking. They have no impact on the cruise control.

The ccm if you bought used them yes just drop your vin in. Then you need to calibrate it. If not it needs to be PMI. Then calibrate. My CCM was new.

You may be able to only add the ccm and get adaptive. I’m not sure. I didn’t experiment with that. I went with all three because I am going to attempt blue cruise. You may wind up having to add the bliss modules.

I had to buy a new ipma. I added 360 cams. I’m not sure it’s a requirement to have the 360 cam version of the ipma or not. It may be. I had already added the ipma so I’m not able to answer.

You will need the steering wheel switch.

Yeah you have to touch the BCM, ipma, ipc, apim, abs.

I don’t know my values will help though since you aren’t going with lane centering. I am not sure what that would impact. I’d have to take a look.

No, I hit a deer, so that's why I need a new bumper lol. Yes, I know the 4 or 6 front parking sensors aren't for ACC at all so that's why I wasn't worried about adding them at all. I wasn't aware of the two front bliss sensors you mention however so hopefully that doesn't hurt my chances, but those may be for stop & go if I had to guess? Since there seems to be different levels of ACC like you said and I've discovered the same.

Good to know of the steering wheel switch so I'll add that to my list as well.

No, I want to get lane centering working! So that's why I'm curious what you needed to change to get that working as well. I'm curious if centering will work with my base level IPMA, so that's why I want to try it out, but if not my backup plan is to swap in the advanced IPMA like you did, even though I'm not interested in adding 360 cams, trailer backup assist, or parking assist, etc.

When you get time let me know what you did change for values so I can compare that to what I think needs changed, thanks!

Sorry. I totally missed that. I’m at a party I don’t want to be at and didn’t see it all on my phone.

Ok. I’ll send them. Yeah youll just have to add it and see if you need to add the front bliss modules for lane centering . To be honest I didn’t know if the bumper sensors would be needed until I got it working this morning.

No worries! Jeez, must really not want to be there if you're on here instead

Awesome thanks, also curious on the front bumper sensors you added as well. All I've ever seen is the 6 parking style sensors on the front bumper and that's it, so maybe we're confusing the same thing for something different. But if there are two bliss style sensors mounted behind the bumper someplace, that is new to me.

Yeah.. I’m not a party guy..

No, I added two bliss modules up front behind the plastic piece under the headlamps. One on each side and the ccm on the driver side behind the plastic piece of the front bumper. I only have the 4 rear parking sensors that came with the truck I don’t have any front sensors. Only reason I knew it was possible was because there are lariat trims the same way no front sensors and adaptive cruise.

What I wasn’t sure about was the lane centering. I thought possibly the front sensors in the bumper on the sides were needed for that in addition to the bliss modules but they were not needed

When I programmed it today and went to see if it worked it worked perfect without and I had lane centering.

I had a chance to test on the drive to the party which is the only reason I went. It worked great ..

I got away with only the CCM and two more bliss modules and have full adaptive with lane centering and stop and go. I’ve tested it all. The speed sign recognition even works perfectly.

Gotcha, thanks for the clarification, and yep, sure as shit just found this now looking around.

Ford F-150 Lightning Adding Co-Pilot Assist 2.0 with Forscan? 1644721744594

Hopefully since its labeled as Parking Distance Control, it's only for parking assist it has nothing to do with ACC or lane centering. I came to the same conclusion doing the same looking around, saw higher level lariats without the 6 front parking sensors with ACC so knew it must work without them.

Where do these two bliss sensors send their signal back to? The IPMA?

When I read through the theory of operation on ACC with lane centering in the service/tech manual. It didn't reference these two front bliss sensors at all if memory serves me right, so that's why I didn't even know about them until now. I think it just relies on the CCM, windshield camera, and IPMA. Maybe there was an additional section adding stop & go to those as well and that's where these sensors come into play, but maybe not. But in your case I would have to bet they are needed for Blue Cruise so better to have them for down the road then not.

Thats awesome you got it working as easy as you did and that's my end goal as well.

You could be right they may not be needed. I decided to try with them since I had to run the wires I didn’t want to have to do it twice.

After driving it tonight it seems they aren’t used. I don’t know really. They do run to the ipma.

I wanted to add about the name they use for those park distance sensors.. ford seems to name things whatever . These are the exact same parts used in the rear for bliss.. so they could easily be called something in regards to that.

I was driving home tonight and it seems the centering kicks off same as lane keep did if the lines go away on the road you’re on.

I will look at the workshop to see what all is used but right now just don’t know. I know I don’t have any error codes or anything saying missing sensor.

They may be used I conjunction with the sensors but the cars with park assist have the six sensors rather than just the 4.

The other reason I thought they are used is if you pull a lariat with the ACC they have these parts in them.. so why would they have them if they aren’t used and don’t have park assist? None have park assist that have ACC and no front sensors.. so who knows.

Maybe I did too much work but my logic was the truck had it I needed it. I basically pulled the vin and saw what parts it had and got them. Ford isn’t exactly known for putting extra parts in for nothing. They won’t even run an additional wire most the time if the truck isn’t equipped.

Yes, you got it right when it comes to their naming of different parts, some make sense, and some don't at all, makes it fun trying to find and lookup stuff. These bliss sensors are actually just found under "Sensor" and both the rear and front you're talking about are under the same tree group essentially.

Strange enough, I lookup parts for my 501A Lariat VIN, and it shows these front bliss sensors in the list, so maybe I already have them?? I don't recall seeing them when I had that front plastic piece off a while back trying to mend things from the deer incident, but I guess I guess I wasn't looking for them either so might have looked right over them. Why I'd have them already but no ACC, park assist, trailer backup, etc. would baffle me.

I meant to tell you back when I scored my CCM, I looked around my truck and it's already wired for it from the IPMA all the way to the front bumper connector. So all I need to do is replace the front bumper harness with the correct one and I should be good there I believe, so got lucky there if it ends up being that simple.

Man.. thats a slam dunk if thats the case. I have to be honest.. the 21 they have done some weirtd things. Like the middle body harness has a lot of the wiring then its just not ot the final destination.

If thats the case then there are several guys with lariats that are going to be thrilled about htat news. One guy was mad he had a lariat and no ACC<

one thing I mean to add. They may be there and not needed for ACC or lane centering and may be for something all together different. I did look at the workshop and it doesnt show them. It just says it uses radar and camera. I cant find any clear cut explanation of what they are for.

You may have them. If you do then thats good. Hell if you say that plug is there then I am almost sure either they are there or the plugs are

Ya, hopefully it'll be that simple, but not holding my breath quite yet.

I'm really curious now if I do have those front sensors or not. Luckily you seconded the fact that they don't appear to be needed for ACC or centering. I bet the plugs are there since I have a lariat spec, but sensors, no idea right now honestly. I can't remember if these trucks have some type of front cross traffic alert or not, that is one things I could think of them being used for right now. Or maybe those are something to be used for blue cruise which I can see that happening.
