Hey everyone! I’m also a Wave 4 order, Lariat ER in Atlas Blue with spray in bed liner. We are also expecting a Star White Mach E GTPE in the next few months so pulling the trigger for this order was a bit of a hard sell for the Mrs. Either we figure out a way to swing both payments or we eventually sell the Mach E. This is my dream truck and while I really want both vehicles, if something has to give, it’s going to be the car. Doing Ford Options on both. Cheers!

Hi! I joined today as I’ve been reading everyone’s posts with great interest and finally received my golden ticket for a wave 4 order. So I’ve decided to join the club and keep every informed on my progress. Now as an early reservation holder time stamped email 5 minutes after ordering went live on 5/19 I was for sure thinking that I would have got mine sooner… lol but soon learned that this process was not solely about being an early reservation holder! Anyway I didn’t think I was going to get one this year but here I am and I feel lucky now. I’ve ordered an F-150 Lightning Lariat Antimatter Blue with ER battery. I wanted a Platinum but just couldn’t see where the cost difference between a Lariat and Platinum made sense. The only main differences I can see are the upgraded towing package which I added, the nicer leather massaging motion seats, the front Vador grille and the 22 inch wheels. Please let me know if I’m missing something as I’d be paying about $13k more for just that stuff. Cheers!
Congratulations! And welcome, we're happy to have you as part of the Ford family. :)

Frustrated to not be in Wave 4. Dealer said I was #10 and should have received an invite. Probably feeding me a line of garbage. SMH
I'm #10 at my dealer they told me wait till the projected May ordering bank I have no chance of any of the 6 waves. Plus I'm out on the available models I don't want leather or vinyl seats just want a XLT

I wouldn't be surprised if they cut off the XLT ER because there were so few orders. There's no reason to get it unless you had a hard cap on your budget at $75k. The extra options on the Lariat ER are easily worth $5k.

EDIT: Only 3 of 36 XLT orders in this forum are ER. Ford just said "feck it, no one wants this". Or they just sold enough XLT and the battery selection didn't matter. Customers just went more towards SR than they were planning.

Colorado first 5 minutes reservation holder.
Got the call earlier this week from my dealer that I was in Wave 4. Got email at 12:01pm local time. Smoked Quartz, Lariat ER, spray in bed liner. Boom, done. Within 30 minutes dealer hand finalized order.
Exact same order specs for me except I added the Max Tow on the outside chance that it actually helps in some way. Probably just $865 down the drain but you never know.

There's no way to make everyone happy.

That's just the way it is. Sorry for the guys who are going to be dissapointed this year. Realize that you are far from alone and the odds, even for a day one reservation, were 50/50 plus or minus a few based on dealership and state.
By going in order of reservation time stamp would be the closest to making everyone happy and being fair. It's really that simple. Unfortunately the the lazy rich guys would cry that their "powers" can't get them one.

Which dealer? I’m a first couple minute reservation holder that transferred from Granger the other day to one here in CO since Granger’s received only 2 so far. Nothing for me for wave 4. Not looking very promising.…
Larry H Miller Lakewood Ford is my dealer. Very pleased with the care and communication they are providing to me.

Disappointed for me too!
Have NO need for a Lariat or Plat trim.

If by a snowball's chance in h3ll - I do get one in wave 5 or 6, I'll end up immediately selling / flipping the truck to someone who really wants one for a large profit to pay for a Pro trim that I really wanted....

Dealerships would not be happy, Ford would not be happy to keep buying credits from Tesla, Loyal ford customers would not be happy for not being "in the know".

Fair in your mind is you win the lottery for clicking a button before someone else?

Meh.

Well why doesn't Ford actually come out and say this then? Instead they pretend like everyone is on an even playing field and they clearly aren't. Never once heard Ford stating they are going to be focusing the launch on ZEV states first for the credits they'll save. And if these "loyal customers" were actually loyal, they wouldn't have to find out a month after the fact what the "cool car" is that they must have now.

They pre-determined the allocation for all trim level/battery combos long before orders started. That info got posted here many weeks ago.

Because loyal customers don't look for a new car before they need one.

Sorry it was news to you. The information was widely available and pretty obvious from the bronco and Chapman emails.

You're right they did post it, but the math suggests there should have been plenty of XLT ER left still at this point. I dont think they were in any way legally bound to adhere to it. I think it was general guidance. Since the trucks aren't built, they might have adjusted and reallocated the parts on the fly.... The way things were going it would have made sense to send some of those ER batteries to Lariat and convert some of those XLT-ER to XLT-SR.
