So guys my dealer refuses to do any updates if no issues are errors in truck. No matter how far behind. How hard is the update process and have any improvements been seen doing this?

I just shared them here and here. I created them (only for GWM and APIM) based on the vehicle info JSON file downloaded by FDRS tool from cloud. I have shared the location of the JSON file here.
Parsing my JSON file this caught my attention for the APIM:

OK guys, getting ready to tackle my updates this weekend and hope someone can run my VIN 1FTEW1CP2MFB11719 to see how bad it is. I have a Job 1 501a Lariat that I got in 11/21 and haven't had updates since the first few weeks of owning it.

My biggest concern is what modules to start with / time it takes those modules to update, and which to leave towards the end or overnight.

Another concern is the battery charger / settings to set it on and how to keep the truck from shutting down / go to sleep.

I have the recommended items from @iceman77 here
- VXDIAG VCX Nano interface (can be purchased from Amazon here)
- USB Flash drive 64GB or larger (must be formatted to exFAT)
- 12V Automotive Battery Charger/Maintainer (I used this one from Amazon)

Not too bad... set your battery charger/maintainer to 10amps. Leave the APIM last. Note, the GSM will be there even after the update so don't be concerned.

Remember to select AGM on the battery charger.

If he buys the one that @iceman77 recommends, it'll detect it automatically.
The one he bought has instructions on the Amazon page indicating battery type needs to be selected...

" Simply set the Voltage, Battery Type, and Charge Rate and the charger will do the rest! The charger will recognize the battery's charge needs, and deliver an optimal charge, every time. "

AGMs don't like the higher voltages a conventional battery needs and this small a detail can get overlooked when one is worried about possibly bricking their truck. Heard it from a friend.....

I agree about the AGM's but, I have the one specified by iceman77 and it automatically switches to AGM and 12volts, I just have to set it to 10amps.

The APIM may give you issues like a few of us had... just post back here if it happens and we'll help through it.

Edit: After the APIM update you may get a GWM update.
