When you get to your build week, here is a link that can use to see when your truck come to life. This link finds the active computer modules. Once the 12v battery is connected and the truck is turned on then the modules "pop".

https://www.motorcraftservice.com/AsBuilt

You may get a pop-up where you need to select a country and language. Then you will get this site.

The modules will pop while the truck is on the assembly line.

The email/backdoor tracker status that your truck is built can come days or weeks after it has been assembled (e.g. it is waiting on a bed liner or it has some type of quality inspection hold or waiting on chips (modules), etc.

I have a build week, but can't find a VIN, even trying to look at the HTML code; I am hearing others say that if you have a build date, you have a VIN.

For those thinking that seeing modules populate actually means anything, some caution from those that realized it didn't.

- days, weeks, or months before the Built email can come. My Mach-E started production on 1/19, and was "built" on 3/1.

- good luck wasting your time evaluating As Built hexadecimal to draw any conclusions. You'll find that values change, and that the number of modules varies depending on trim levels and options, and there won't be any authority with factual "if this, then that" determinations.

- once it's built, that doesn't mean it will ship. If it has to wait on chips, you'll discover the term "FILO" (first in, last out) may apply, i.e. your vehicle will get blocked in the lot, and ones made later will ship sooner. Of course, the Lightning is made in Dearborn, not Mexico, so for some it only has to get on a truck, so that may help.

Enjoy(?) the wait.

This works with Google Chrome to find your VIN

When you are in the Backdoor tracker, you can decode the HTML page and find info like your build date, VIN, etc. Here is one from a few months ago:

Step 1. Go to the Backdoor Tracker
Step 2. Open the Browser Console . Click and hold Ctrl + Shift + J
- Browser console will open on the right side of the screen
Step 3. Select "Network" on the top of the screen.
Step 4. Refresh your order page.
Step 5. Find your Order Number in the "Name" section. It is toward the bottom of the scroll. It will look like this: 10322735?lang=en_us&inclu (also highlighted below) Click on that line.
Step 6. In the fields on the right open up the sections by clicking on the arrows pointing to the right. You can see the Built Week just below the "Entries" section. The VIN number is at the bottom of the screenshot.

If in your reservation page you have the "View" option, that takes you to the same web link as the "backdoor tracker"
Ford F-150 Lightning Lightning Production Tracking: Checking When Your Modules Activate / Populate "Pop" 1650559673846

If you don't have the "view" option then you can input this web link to get to the backdoor tracker. Substitute the xxxxxxxx in the link below with your reservation/order number.

https://www.ford.com/buy/manage.html?reservationId=xxxxxxxx

You will then get a page like this: Your status may be different depending if you have placed an order or have been scheduled for production.

Of course now I have no idea where my 4 digit order number is
4 digit order number was/is on paperwork when you went to dealer to finalize order. Also a quick call to dealer can get you that as well

The only place I found my VIN was in an email Ford sent to me.
