I can confirm that the "L" in the eighth position is the SR battery.

My VIN: 1FTVW1ELXNWG05xxx is for an XLT SR with both towing options.

Consequently I get a "V" in the 4th position (GVWR of 8001 to 9000 pounds) (I'm hoping I get an 8,400 pound GVWR). Both ER's and SR's without Max Tow would also get a "V" in the 4th position.

A "6" in this spot must be for ER trucks with Max Tow and therefore a GVWR of 8550 pounds.

I have an "L" in the eighth spot which is the SR battery. Looks like that is maybe 15% of the VIN's out there.
I haven't figured out the 4th spot. I have Lariat-ER with max tow, but have a "V". On the window sticker it says 8400# GVWR PACKAGE, so the "V" matches that. Just not sure what drives the GVWR up.

I had a window sticker change, still the same Blend Date 5/08 but now that old number of 391/447 has changed to 125/194. Interesting. Anyone else have a changed? Been moved up or moved back?
Thanks for pointing this change out, this will help us proof the data further knowing it is not static once assigned!!!

The 2nd number refers to batch number and may or may not be connected to a specific week.

That is a bit puzzling. Here are some examples of Lariat stickers (with and without Max tow). Some are 8400 GVWR, some are 8550 GVWR. The only commonality on the 8400 GVWR package is they both have the All terrain tires added as an option. Could it be the all terrains reduce the max GVWR?

Also in California and my window sticker did not update. I’m still showing a blend date of 05/06 and 1/194. Does this suggest I’m the first of 194?

When I spoke with Ford a few weeks ago I was told the truck was scheduled to begin production 05/05. Then I got the window sticker last week showing the blend 05/06. Didn’t someone here mention Thursday’s are scheduling days for Ford? Perhaps a new line (194) starts Thursday for the weekend shift? Is that a thing?

That could be the reason!

So I also have the spray in bed liner. Curious if that’s the difference between xxx/194 and xxx/447?

UPDATE; my window sticker DID change this morning. Some time in the last 2 hours. Many of the numbers along the top have changed. I noticed it says “4-rebill” where it used to read “9-normal”. Any idea what that is?
Also, the number along the top above 1/194 changed.

The blend date and my 1/194 has not changed.

I think you're onto something, in tracking 9 other VIN's for the 5/2 build week, the two who have spray in bed liner have xxx/194 in the header, while 7 others with out a liner are xxx/447
