Looking at all the available VIN's on the forum, the common element is indeed, the use of All-Terrain tires, they derate the GVWR by 150 pounds, regardless of the presence of Max Tow Package!!!!

All trucks with base All-Season Tires can carry 150# more.


Folks in Mass, please review your build sheet, if you have All-Terrain tires, and you show a GVWR of 8400#, consider deleting the tire option, go with stock All-Season through the build, this will bump your GVWR to a level that will qualify you (Tentatively) for the MOR-EV-TRUCK rebate.
Since the tires on the truck actually determine the 4th character in the VIN would it be possible to change tires after the VIN is issued? E.g. the all terrain tires on an ER Lariat or XLT result in a “V” in the fourth space. Where the all season tires on the same spec truck make that fourth character a “6”.

I am a 4/12 invite. So I don't have a vin yet. Should I switch back to all season tires? I do get moderate winters, but and should handle that better than my normal f150 anyways.

I like having the higher weight capacity. Mainly grabbed bsw all terrain because I thought the others might have white text lol.

You know...that's actually a very good question and it would be very interesting to see if you could actually get them changed at this point.

I'm just going to leave mine alone and change out to KO2s or something when I change out the set down the road in a few years.

Asked on the reviews of the tires, the all seasons do better on snow and ice than the factory all terrains anyways

That is a VERY GOOD POINT, I wonder if VIN revision is a thing, as long as it's not built yet, I should think it possible, but have no proof, be interesting to see an example of that happening!!

It depends on your actual application, if you're not going to load above 8400# then stay with what you have.

I recently had new tires Bridgestones order/installed for my F250, they came with white lettering, but I prefer black wall, tire tech ran after me before leaving to go shopping while we waited, asked if I wanted the tire mounted with whites out or in, seeing as I had stockers with blackwall, told him to mount with white lettering inboard, all good now

The all season tires also indicate BSW on build and price and all of the Lightning photos I’ve seen have BSW tires

They're running about 5 days behind. I pulled some VINs from last week and it looks like they're finishing up the 4/26 blend dates and haven't started the 4/27's. I assume things will start catching up, but I wouldn't get your hopes up for this week.

Interestingly, some of the vehicles have 5/1 production dates so maybe they're working through the weekend now?

Does anyone know if OKTB has been achieved?

Also, since our trucks will likely be some of the first that our dealers will see, what can we do to prevent dealership staff and/or other potential customers from taking a test drive in our Special Order vehicles?

My blend date has been 5/8 so I’m assuming they are going to or have been working weekends.

There is no evidence that OKTB has been achieved and lots of evidence that it hasn't. It's got to happen any day now--Ford promised shipping in the "next few days" on 4/26.

How are you able to see all this information?
Nothing fancy. Pulling VINs from Autotrader and Cars.com and entering them into the tracking systems.
