Now we know why he got shut down, got too much attention. I could be mistaken, but at least one person who had access and was reporting has lost the access. I love the updates, but the more that is shared, the more attention it gets and that isn't always good.

Yeah the whole point of activating was for personal tracking when it was close to the dealer so you could contact said dealer and take delivery. Looks like this might be the end of that.

Saw it as well, that story doesn't make sense. I'm sure he is reporting what was told, but we know they would never give info like that, nor build the truck if it didn't have the HV battery. They would have to tow them off the line to move them anywhere without it.

If Farley isn't going to say it, they won't let the team answering the phone say it.

They won't build the trucks without the traction battery. It's something else that can be relatively easy to install after being built holding them up.

Plus, many trucks are being driven around the REVC to get to those lots they’re being stored in. Like that one guy who activated his truck and saw it had 32 miles on it, these trucks are moving and you need the HV battery for that.

Also, the battery is behind a lot of plastic in the frunk. I can’t imagine they are pulling all that plastic back to swap batteries. My money is on semiconductor shortage still.

I mean they have said they are prioritizing all chips to the Lightning over their other builds. You would think they would be trickling out deliveries here and there even if they were short., I have a hard time believing that they are lacking chips for all customer deliveries and cannot move forward. I would lean towards some sort of mass software glitch that requires an update before it can arrive in customer hands. But again everyone is just guessing because Ford cannot communicate.

Calling Ford corporate is a crapshoot in itself, I personally would take anything they say with a grain of salt. I called them yesterday to check the status of my build and the guy asked me what wave I was in and then proceeded to tell me that they had not started building wave 1 yet.

Funny how everyone interprets this stuff. (Not a criticism)Your take away was they really meant battery wasn’t installed. We know they can’t assemble without that.

I see that people at ford are just screen readers, and she says something about battery to original poster without full context.

my take overall is there is something missing or they would be bulk shipping and we’d see/hear about someone’s fancy lightning.

I do not have any updates to my trackers. My friend at Dearborn said he seen them being loaded on rail yesterday.
Do you know if he saw mine being loaded? LOL 😂
