Well, today marked my ability to make an activation request on FordPass. It errored out all weekend with a later-sent message of "sorry, there was an error" or some sort. So I suppose we're hairs away from the "built" status.

It IS. And no, doesn't apply to powerboost. But I have a couple things working against me on that.
  • I inherited this abandoned Lightning order due to dumb luck and a diligent internet business rep. So I have a deposit securing the truck, but for practical purposes this order became dealer stock and they're free to ADM the f**k out of it. Which they proceeded to do with shameless glee. $116K on a loaded Lariat ER, so you can do the depressing math on that. I'm basically convincing myself that I'm buying a Model X, but different, and getting to skip the line. Their Raptors are also marked up through the roof, so whatever gentle admonishments Ford Corporate is serving them is having "no effect on target," as we used to say.

  • The goober who put in the original order paid an extra $160 for the all-terrain tires. Which knocks the GVWR down below the rebate eligibility threshold of >8500 lbs.! So, essentially they paid $160 to lose the chance at a $7500 cash rebate. 😭
You're paying $116k for a Lariat ER?

Your sig says build date 6/2 from a 5/23 blend date. =/= 6 weeks.
Oh you sweet summer child. My 5/23 build went "In Production" on 6/2, modules popped on 6/11 and then the truck went into Dearborn parking lot limbo land, assumably waiting for chips. Built email was received on July 1, so yes, 5 1/2 weeks =/= 6 weeks.

At least you got a in production date. It got built it’s just waiting.

Mine hasn’t even popped squat. Waiting for chips is nothing new. Had multiple ice f150s parked.

So close and yet so far! My Fordpass finally went through to "activation pending" which seems like an indicator from previous posters that the truck is nearly in the "built" status? Prior to this it was doing the error response to activation.

Blend day was 6/16, In Production on 6/23, and when I stopped by the dealership on 7/1 they were seeing "sent off-site" for I assume to be bed-liner spray in.

Well my hardcore negotiation tactics really talked them down: I strong-armed them into throwing in a spray-in bed liner.

So I’ve got that goin’ for me, which is nice...

I’m in south Texas if you’d make the drive I’d sell you my lariat for far less, but it only has tow tech. No spray in liner though .

that and if it ever gets built

6/17 blend, in production 6/23. No "Built" update yet. :(

This is now the worst drag race ever between a Lightning and a Powerboost. :cautious: Whichever arrives first wins. Wife is really anxious about full electric (I'm all in, even with grotesque ADM), and I'm anxious about the Powerboost issues over on the ICE forums. So, fate shall decide.

Was rooting for my Lightning to catch a "Built" update today, but no dice. That said, I'm not sure how much stock to put in the "Shipped" status of the Powerboost (doesn't have a shipped date?).

I have to say, however, learning how to track every Ford vehicle getting spit off of a train and heading to these two dealerships has been a source of great amusement. And it actually gives me faith that I'll catch a heads up when one of these things finally does materialize in the ol' Commonwealth.

Everyone help do the Lightning rain dance to get it caught up! ⚡
I'm in a similar situation, but im buying both and going to see which one wins me over. Ordered a platinum PB (in transit for last week) in Oct last year, so my price is 7k less than current and ordered a ER Lightning (awaiting shipment) actually going down today to trade in my 2021 before the market gets funny

Good news here! Just got my Pro SR w/ tow tech and spray in shipped to NC. Notification came this morning (7/6). Window sticker says convoy so hopefully faster than rail and still estimated 7/20-7/26 delivery. I’ll reach out to my dealer to get a better update today

CONGRAT'S!!!
RAIL to CONVY, all Lightning stickers say CONVOY but the reality is that only trucks within ~200-300 miles are loaded onto 18-wheelers at the factory.
