23-30th is my eta. My rate lock expires on 26th so hoping it’s on the earlier side!
Mine is 22-28 ETA to Ken Grody Ford Buena Park.

I just got my rate locked from my CU this week so good for 60 days.

Hope you get yours by the 26th!
If it's cutting it close, can you ask your dealer to pull the funds using just the VIN ?

Keep us all updated.

I ran into the Sales Manager from South Bay Ford/Hawthorne who happened to be visiting Leucadia (he was wondering where I got my Lightning and if I wanted to sell it😁). He said they were trying to get their vehicles by rail to San Diego because the transport was easier than Mira Loma. I haven't seen Mira Loma arrival to dealership times. I have to go back and check, but I think it was 5 days for San Diego to dealership.

Dealer said they can’t do anything before the truck gets here, but I contacted the CU and based on the expected delivery date they extended my lock from 60 days to 67 days, so now have breathing room into first week of August. Fingers crossed!

Whoa - that is very nice of your CU to extend the loan lock rate.

Can I ask your rate ?

Mine was 3.49% for 84 months.

That rate is great for 60 months.

I figured I would re-finance it in year if rates go down and my CU looks at 1 year old a still new.

CalCoast CU is 2.88 up to 66 months and 2.98 up to 75 months. Jumps up to 4.08 though to go out to 84.

I called UP and did a trace on the railcar provided by my sales person and it mentioned it was empty. Did anyone else receive that status. On the VVR it stated it arrived June 24 with an estimated delivery 6/30-7/6 which has been changed multiple times now 7/21-7/27. I have been told on Ford chat that it is still in Blue Island. What the food truck🤬 is happening!

Sounds like the wrong car number and you are getting previous trip information (#1 guess)
Could have been a victim of the BNSF embargo and has not been re-routed yet
Could have been bad ordered for repairs before it left Blue Island
Could have been damaged in a mishap or accident that requires more extensive repairs and returned to Blue Island, awaiting parts
(The last two should be on the report)

Try to confirm the car number as a first step. Good luck!

Blue Island is in Chicago and part of the IHB rail system….I’m not sure there is much of a reason to keep it outside of a rail car in that switching yard. I agree, without the rail car the car was shipped in tracking will be nearly impossible……

BTW, my VVR still shows my rail car is at Blue Island…..it is currently heading west on a BNSF train in Montana. Ford does not frequently update location info in their systems…..

I'm pretty familiar with Blue Island. ;) Once the truck is loaded into a rail car it ain't coming out of that rack shy of the destination without some really rare circumstances. My suggestion to @kWfart is that he has possibly been provided with the wrong railcar number and he's tracking an empty railcar that has moved back towards Ramp 59 through Blue Island.

If it's lingering in Blue Island, there's a chance it was shipped in the few days before the embargo took effect and did not make it to BNSF in time. Or, the railcar has been bad ordered and is awaiting repairs or parts for the railcar itself. If the railcar is truly empty now at Blue Island caused by heavy damage, it's possible to unload them with portable auto ramps, but it's rare, costly, and takes a lot of time and management (in)decisions.

I believe @kWfart mentioned the empty railcar information came from Union Pacific instead of VVR. Your truck passing through Montana would be a normal BNSF route to Oregon unaffected by the BNSF auto traffic embargo to Southern California.

I guess that was my point, I agree..and wasn’t questioning your knowledge, that it work be a rare and catastrophic event that they would empty the rail car and leave a truck parked at the rail yard.🥰

I get the wrong rail car number issue. Two other forum members here in Oregon shipped at the same time as mine have had issues getting a rail car number….one hasn’t been able to get one ( he’s tracking thru other means) and the other was given a wrong number and watched the rail car make a round trip to KC and back….
