Onboard scales/smart hitch removed on Lariat ER window sticker

This might be the only lariat ER truck in existence without the feature.... interesting but I feel bad for any future owners that don't realize it's missing.
Seeing that there are trims and configurations available without it, it obviously isn't essential to the range calculation but having it helps accuracy.

This is what my dealer mentioned the other day when I picked up my pro. They are removing features on the vehicle and still shipping it. That would be a huge bummer on a Platinum to lose the max recline and massaging seats. Hope this is an administrative error and not the reality.

Mahwah Ford has been trying to figure out what the deal is - they've called their hotline and so far haven't been able to get any additional information other than that's how it is.

The sales rep did say with other vehicles they've given a credit for features missing chips and then installed them later when the chips arrived, so there's speculation that they may be able to retrofit later - a $650 credit for a delayed feature seems more generous than I would expect (he said the Explorer rear seat heating controls were a $50 credit), but admittedly I have no experience in this realm.

I have my order at the same dealer and it has yet to be scheduled,

The dealer called me back - they're still trying to figure it out, no news from upstairs. They have another order identical to mine aside from floor mats and it didn't get anything removed, so they're at a loss.

I hope they put a priority urgent rush on it. You're running out of time to get it fixed.

I ordered Lariat SR w/o any tow package. no mention of scales at all on my window sticker.

Although the scales sound sweet for weighing how much weight in materials I have stacked up in the bed, I never tow anything so adding on a tow package didn't feel worth it.

Same here - SR Lariat (landed in state yesterday), didn't expect nor want on board scales since I never tow nor haul.

360 cameras is all I need to fit into tight urban parking spaces, garage & parallel parking.

Nope, my Lariat SR does not have on board scales.

Just checked, on board scale is optional on Lariat 510A. It is standard only on Lariat 511A and Platinum.

My Lariat ER has it on sticker.

My dealer has been silent since my last post about it - I am a bit discouraged that we don’t have anything from Ford about this.

Especially when they marketed to us that we needed to upgrade to Platinum to get the Max Recline seats and then pulled them but were happy to leave us stuck with a Platinum trim with 20 miles less range, 1500lbs less towing capacity, and 200 lbs less payload for $10.5-$12k more than a Lariat ER. (depending on options on the Lariat) I don't know if this particular onboard scale issue on this thread required upgrading to a higher trim, but this is a huge issue for us Platinum seat delete people unless Ford does something about it. (working with Ford New Vehicle Support Team on this)
