Pro-Trailer Stickers - Did Your Truck Come With Them?

Hi All,

My truck did not come with a user manual, or any Pro Trailer stickers. Anyone else?

ICE Truck guys seem to get about 5 of them with the truck.

I believe the 'newer' ProTrailer comes with a MODULE that attaches to the trailer's a-frame - no more 'stickers'...

That is the way I read the manual. Starts at page 363.

My ICE has the stickers. Looks like the Lightning has a module.

It should be included if you have Pro Trailer Backup Assist. Manual page starts at 363, not 263 as I originally stated

Yep, my 2018 had the sticker system, the new 2021 has the module. It's nice because sometimes the sticker could get "lost" in bright sunlight or when it got dark". Also the new one takes measurements out of the process.

Next question: If the truck comes with a module, where in the truck is the module? My box-link tiedowns were under the backseat...

I had a instruction packet which included stickers to place on the a-frame of the trailer.
No module.
Yes, I do have box-link brackets, they were on the floor rear of drivers seat.

Same here…..shrink wrapped in the lower glove compartment with the Owners Manual Supplement and the Tailgate Removal Replacement Cap (which also contains the much discussed “interior key”).

Reading through that packet, it mentions "OPTIONAL" hardware module & harness kit available from your Ford dealer.

Apparently the advanced camera systems are able to deal with the sticker after setup of trailer and calibration of the system.

it sounds like some may be getting the module, while other the stickers, although it's probably not a big deal either way - IF IT WORKS : )

I, too, have the stickers in the trailer system brochure in the glove compartment.

Let me start off by saying I don't know much about towing as this my first truck. But I met a guy last week with a 2021 ICE F150 and he mentioned that you are suppose to get this module. He went back to his dealership and showed them that he has the tow trailer package and is suppose to have it. They agreed and looked it up, it's like a $1500 item according to him, and they gave it to him.

Only thing is we noticed our connections on the truck are bit different, 4PIN or 7PIN?

Has anyone with a Lightning been able to get this module included with their truck?

The module is not included with the MY22 Lightning, regardless of tow package.

A shrink wrapped packet of stickers should come with the truck, though.

The module is available for purchase from a parts supplier.

I got nothing, no stickers, or modules.

When I called Ford they didn’t seem to have a clue of what I was even talking about, and my dealer didn’t know either.

Frustrating, as I’ve done a fair bit of towing and was looking forward to using this feature. When I have the time I will need to drive back to the dealership and hopefully find someone who can help me figure it out.
