Day Six: My poor truck is still sitting at the rail yard. My Ford Sales Rep made a call. His response to us was that it should be delivered by next Friday which is a day after my ETA expiration. Some help that guy was.
On a lighter note this is the text I got from the wife.
"Here are your insurance cards for your new truck. You can print them and put them in your new truck...well you can frame them until your truck comes in! Haha"
She has obviously joined the dark side. I even have customers asking me where my new truck is because they want to see it. I have been the butt of every joke today. They think it's funny. I am feeling somewhat amused myself. @Yellow Buddy you have also became somewhat famous inside my store as well. Everyone keeps asking about "Yellow fellows" truck. I think they are lurking.

I'm with ya... texted and emailed the Hansen&Adkins operation there at the Atlanta NS ramp yard, where the truck now 'sits'... which is what I was afraid of: "we have received your Truck and it has been entered into our system now that it has an assigned space. we don't know exactly when it will be loaded and delivered as we will have to wait until there is a full load. we also have to take care of 'aged' vehicles, first." At least they DID answer my request. Maybe it'll help, in some small way.

so, the wait continues, even though I had a lot of hope since it arrived early yesterday morning... oh well, on to Tuesday and Wednesday now.

and yes, I already have my ID CARDS, which now I will FRAME ... I'm the agent, so I guess that makes sense : /

Wendy didn't quit, she just doesn't show up until there's good news. She knows better. She's smart enough to already pull your VVR when you enter your info and she won't take your chat if your truck isn't ready.

I'm a 7/18 guy, but I've been reading the 7/11 thread. I chatted with Ford chat today and to my surprise I got Wendy. I was all excited she may give me some good news, but nope. Same old in New Boston at 5M....

#Priorities. Rescheduled my flight, picked up the truck, drove it 10 miles, installed the running boards, and left.

To my mild surprise the running board lights don’t work on the Pro. There’s a plug but it didn’t activate. Will have to check it later

My 10 mile review.

F-150L vs Ridgeline & Thoughts

- The F-150L is massive in comparison
- My Ridgeline suspension from 2009 rides and handles better
- It felt surprisingly slow
- 1 pedal driving is fine but is too aggressive at slow speeds
- The materials in the Pro is not bad at all
- The seats are comfortable, no issues with lumbar

Lastly. I drove it for 10 miles, why in the world are you listening to me. You shouldn’t even have gotten this far. You just wasted 5 minutes

Pretty sure that's part of zone lighting, which isn't a Pro feature

I talked to Allison today on the Lightning team. My truck is on a Canadian Train in Missouri. Southern Pacific / Union Pacific are all we have in south central Texas. Guess somewhere they transfer vehicles. I’m not the logistics expert some of you are.

On a positive note, today I received a production date of 10/3 for the Mach-E GT. Hoping to get to double down on the $7500 in 2022.

First real road trip in the truck today, it preformed wonderfully. BlueCruise is pretty damn awesome, hands free driving is weird but impressive. Love the power, responsiveness and how quiet the truck is.

Major gripe with the mirrors, they suck. Really missing the towing mirrors from my 2012, and even the convex mirrors on the 2015 work truck. One pedal in reverse is taking a lot of getting use to, but love it otherwise. Getting to the camera menu shouldn't be as hard as it is. Lastly, the ride and how bouncy it is. I'll be keeping my eye on the aftermarket for some tuned shocks.
